"First let me start by saying this was a time sensitive project as I needed to get my porch up to city code and had a code inspection scheduled; Which I postponed twice regarding this matter. Empire Construction came and gave me a quote to replace my front porch steps. They completed the steps but never put the hand rails back on the porch. Then after several weeks of trying to contact them regarding the rails with no response they emailed me explaining that my railings could not be put back on and new railings would be required to finish the project for additional money. I told them go ahead and replace the rails and I'd pay the additional amount. It has now been over two months since the project began and no rails, no update, no response from the company. Just pile of the old rails laying on my back patio. Now I've paid a fine with the city and I have to look into getting another company to come finish Empires work in order for the porch to be up to code. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ABSOLUTELY DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY!"

"Barry came out to give quote, 4 days later we received the quote and accepted the amount to fix our steps/ gutter. A month later after I tried to contact them 4 times via phone and 2 e-mails we finally received a response "you might want to find someone else" completely unprofessional. Wasted our time, our money (had to take a day off work when Barry came to give estimate), and passed up 2 other companies that contacted us because we were waiting on these gems to respond and set a date for repairs. Highly do not recommend. I am seeing many other post the same complaint over the past 7 months, shame on me for not reading others reviews first. Lesson learned!"

"Called this co. beginning of Sept to get an estimate for a property we are purchasing (but have to make repairs) in order to close, and the seller was unable to make the repairs due to financial reasons. This was told to the office and they came out to do the estimate. Due to us being the purchaser of the property, we were told we would get call when they arrived to be present. That never happened and they were apologetic and gave us the estimate for free, mind you the estimate only had a price and a few words describing the problem. We reached out 3 weeks later to get a specific detailed estimate and book the service. My husband called to speak with the contractor who gave the original estimate just to verify what was going to be done because our city inspection required certain things to bring the house up to code. He was told the contractor would call him back that afternoon, NOTHING. My husband called back, same message given, NOTHING. Then he called twice more (different days) and no one picked up. Then my realtor called and the lady who picked up was rude and curt, stating "The price is the price"....first and foremost, no one is questioning the price, we are questioning what is included and you would have known that had you returned our call. This place gave the the lowest estimate and completely lost our business with their poor customer service. If your work is anything like your customer service, we will pass. In response to the Owner: Your reply goes to show lack of professionalism. You all waived the $100 fee due to YOUR contractor NOT calling like promised. Your $100 was not an issue for us to pay, neither was the $7,000. And you stating we were not the owners means nothing because we were the ones paying you and you still came out to do the inspection knowing we were not the owners. Secondly, when my husband reached out to get specifics on estimate (after city inspection) he was told he would get a call back, he did not. We have the right to ask if there is anyway to do less for the time being and you have the right to say yes or no. What you don't have the right to do is allow your receptionist be rude and act as if we are a bother to you for getting more information. And you're right the porch is not fixed, but contractors come a dime a dozen and based off your customer service trust me, we aren't begging you to take our money but what I will / CAN do is leave you a bad review which seemed to bother you. Now you're super busy obviously since you can't return calls so I don't expect a response but I have time to keep going if you'd like. Have good one EMPIRE ;)"

"Fixed my gutters and fascia with great quality and attention to detail. Very communicative and friendly, were at the house when they said they would be and completed the job quickly and to specifications. Would recommend to friends and family and would hire again for future work."

"Two appointments for for an estimate were missed. The first time they called me to let me know they were not coming out due to rain. The second time they no called/now showed on me. I'm currently exploring other local companies. Edit to respond to to the owner: I ended up working from home Friday, March 2nd. No one from Empire ever came out to my property. I have no missed calls or VMs on my phone from March 2nd. They completely dropped the ball and are playing the victim instead of taking responsibility. This is not the kind of company I would want to do business with."
