"I would never EVER do business or recommend Amber to anyone! Amber did the Senior photos for both of my girls and they were great, so this year my son was graduating and he wanted to have the same photographer. What a horrible experience. Trying to communicate with her was next to impossible. She does not respond to texts/phone calls timely at all. During the process of all of this, she moved to Florida and didn't even communicate it to me. After making the final payment for the photos, I gave her my address to ship to and asked for an update along with tracking numbers for the photos since she said they would ship from the lab. She refused to give me any tracking numbers and the photos did not ship. I continued to contact her and she would not respond. I finally texted her and said I need to have these for my sons graduation party and she said the photos were shipped to Florida in error but she would pay extra to have them reprinted and sent over night to me. Again she would not give me the tracking number. The photos finally came, and they did not ship from the lab but from a storefront in Milford and they were sent ground. The photos arrived and the order was incomplete and missing items and the quality was not as it was in the past. I texted her regarding the missing items to which she responded I should have gotten 2 packages. I replied I did but was still missing items. She blocked me on her cell phone and on social media. I called her from an unknown number to which she answered and was very rude stating "what can I do for you, I am at a personal lunch" I stated that I would like to know where the rest of my order was that I paid for and did not receive. She stated that she would "check her business phone and get back with me later" and then hung up on me. I have never heard back from her."

"all i can say is wow, as a senior especially during covid you look forward to your pictures and enjoying everything about them but this experience was the opposite. In the beginning all went well, we took our pictures and once it was over I was so excited to get to post them and send them to my friends. Once a month passed i felt it was very strange i did not receive any update or anything. i would reach out and text her constantly with no response. Keep in mind i took my pictures in august and by december i finally get a reply saying they will be available before christmas. This was utterly horrible. it should never take this long to get them. Not only is that bad once christmas rolled around we still never got them. As January and February came we would be ignored in our texts, emails, and we even weekly stopped in the store to visit amber who would not speak with us. Finally in March after me and my mom have begged in text messages we received them. We then were forced to pay full price for pictures we received during the last months of my senior year. Not only that, we sent another message saying how saddened we were and she again, never responded. At first i thought we were crazy for how bad our experience was, until i reached out to other clients in her senior sessions. They mentioned to me they had to force themselves in her store and scream at amber to receive there pictures. I was completely shocked and i don’t understand why she does pictures when nobody is receiving them. The reason i decided to leave this review was because i was so sad to see her posting for her upcoming senior sessions and wanting to book them and let this warn you to save your money. We spent 4000 on pictures we can’t even look at because we just think about this horrible experience."
"This review is specifically for the PHOTOGRAPHY side of Amber Lights. We found Amber shortly after moving to Milford and signed up for a maternity photo shoot in 2016. We had a good experience and the photos turned out lovely, so we decided to become a "Storybook Client" for when our daughter was born. This meant that we prepaid for a set number of sessions and we got an empty personalized album, but all photo purchases were extra $$. At the time, Amber was not providing digital copies because she is a "portrait artist" and wanted us to purchase insanely expensive canvases ($300+), photo books ($200+), etc. The cheapest thing on the "menu" were the 5x7s at just $65 a pop. Just to purchase the 8x10s to go into our empty photo album were $111 per print (and we got NONE of them electronically). At the beginning, Amber had an assistant, Toni, to help her with scheduling and ordering. Toni made the process painless (besides the prices!). However once Toni left in the summer of 2017, Amber became nearly impossible to get a hold of. It took her over a month to finally sit down with me to place the order for our daughter's one year old shoot, and the entire time she was pressuring me to order more and making me feel guilty about not selecting more pictures - again, none of these were given to me digitally, I had to purchase every single picture I wanted! Every picture I didn't order was deleted into the ether... I have two sessions left as part of the package I prepaid for. I tried to schedule a shoot for my daughter's second birthday this past summer (2018) and Amber never returned my calls. Sadly, it's actually cheaper for me to walk away from these sessions and take my business elsewhere. It's such a shame because Amber is very talented, but she needs to improve her business model and professionalism."
"Update- December 11,2018- I received my photo in Dropbox finally. I did not receive a release to print them and had to call to get that. Amber does great work, I’m just truly sad how I was treated and that deadlines were missed for my daughter. I certainly not want to see a local business struggle, so hopefully Amber gets proceees in place and trained staff that help solve problems quickly rather than leaving customers wondering and frustrated. Disappointing and frustrating to say the least. We had our daughters head-shots taken in October, and as of today, December 4, 2018, I have not received them. For full disclosure, there was an initial miscommunication on the original time I could pick up my photos, however there was no call from Amber Lights to confirm my appointment and when they noticed I was running late, there was not a call to see if something happened or if I was on my way. We did arrive, however it was late because I had the appointment in my calendar at a different time. At that time, I was told by the young girl that I could just come in on a Saturday and anyone could help me. Since that day, I have stopped in MULTIPLE times, left MULTIPLE voicemails, spoken to the young girls that answer the phones MANY times, texted AMBER directly, emailed, and had my husband call (who was hung up on when he tried to leave his email to have the photos sent over)... AND still no RESPONSE, no PICTURES, nothing.. Oh, I will add, I have PAID for these in full. To add insult to injury, I have told them MULTIPLE times that we had a deadline of December 1, 2018, to have these submitted for our daughters auditions.... Guess who has no head-shots for her auditions? My husband and I are business owners in the same community as this business, and I am beyond appalled at how poor their customer service is. If we treated our clients this poorly, we would never have lasted 20 years in business. It's truly shameful, and beyond frustrating. I would never consider recommending her to anyone. It should never, ever, take over a month to get a product that we paid for, nor should a customer ever have to constantly call/text/email with ABSOLUTELY NO response. My only assumption now is she has lost my photos, as I have asked MULTIPLE times to have them sent to me in Dropbox, and still NOTHING."
