Reviews
"The water here is shallow for a while and it's typically much warmer than Superior. This is the closest to where I live, Great Lakes wise, and with the addition of Mueller's nearby and a Meijer for shopping, this makes for a good day trip. It's not quite 5 star because it isn't Lake Superior."
"The beach has a roped off swim area if you have kids that you need to stay in a contained area. There is plenty of other places to enjoy the beach and swim as well. The water was clear enough until you reached areas where you could no longer stand. There is a lifeguard station too that is to be manned at certain times."
"Beautiful beach for swimming. Nice and sandy bottom with a slow incline into deeper waters. Nice clean water. Lots of free parking and beautiful views."
"It's so beautiful and peaceful here. The beach was very clean and you can really take in the nature."
"BOTTOM LINE : A very good beach, very clean. Conveniently located near downtown. Lots of parking, and a lot of grassy park area nearby to run, play, and let the dogs out. PRO : Clean sand, very large and expansive. Water is very clear, very warm. Kids love it here, building in the sand and playing in the water. CON : I've heard there are drop offs farther out, so I kept an eye on the kiddos."
