MTU Aquatic Centre

The MTU Aquatic Centre, located at 600 Macinnes Drive in Houghton, Michigan, offers a variety of swimming opportunities for both students and community members. The facility features an eight-lane, 25-yard pool for lap, recreational, and open swimming, as well as a separate diving well with two one-meter diving boards and a three-meter diving board. The pool and dive tank are licensed and inspected by the State of Michigan and the Western U.P. District Health Department.

Michigan Tech students can access the pool through student fees, while faculty, staff, and community members can purchase SDC Access Passes. The facility also offers community swim lessons, aquatic fitness classes, Lifeguard certification courses, and Outdoor Adventure Programs. Student organizations can reserve the pool for their clubs on a weekly basis.
