I went into Great Lakes to ask for their advice on how to treat it and they said to keep it damp and bring it in on Monday, which I did. "I originally had this 120+ year old baptism gown dry cleaned in our local dry cleaner store in Miami who claimed they had dry cleaned vintage gowns before...they were able to clean it a little bit but the gown was subjected to ripping effect which they were unable to fix. I then quickly found Great Lakes clothing through google and sent the Baptism gown to Michigan after seeing they had previously restored another 100+ year baptism gown, and felt at ease. They had great communication, and as you see in the pictures, the baptism gown is now white and the rip in sleeve is fixed. I cannot recommend them enough!! Thank you!!"

"Super disappointed in my dress preservation. Getting your dress preserved is not cheap, and mine not only came back looking the same in most areas, the chest part of my dress came back with weird spots on it that weren't originally there. They did so great altering my dress and that is why I am leaving three stars! Friendly staff, just very disappointed that I spent so much money on my dress to look the same."
