"Another amazing Kahn designed piece of architecture. Belle isle has improved so much over the past several years. This area was nearly unwalkable a few years ago. Now they have made wonderful trails and planted all native plants on these trails."

"Well worth the short walk from the new parking area. If you line up your sight you can see a perfect view of the lighthouse through the sculpture "One World under Michigan Stars" sculpture. This lighthouse is made of all Georgian Marble - the only such lighthouse of its kind in the country. It was named for William Livingstone an icon of Detroit history. Mr. Livingstone is responsible for the Livingstone channel in the lower Detroit River."
"We enjoyed walking the path to this pretty marble lighthouse. It is very unique and has a nice view of the Detroit River and the Canadian shoreline. It is a nice area to view the lake and "salty" ocean freighters as they head up the river towards Lake St Clair or downriver to Lake Erie."
