"I hired Laurie after I had been brutally beaten by my husband. He was incarcerated and charged with aggravated assault with intent to do great bodily harm. He was abusive to my children and I was finally getting away. Laurie assured me I had nothing to worry about and that she was going to fight for me. She looked me dead in the eyes and promised me that she would fight for my children. Everything she said to me that day, made me feel great! I finally found someone who was going to fight for me. That couldn’t have been further from the truth. The minute Laurie received her retainer she changed. 99% of my communication was through her secretary and Laurie was “out of the office” at least 4 days of the working week every week. During our 2nd 4 hour mediation, Laurie finally spoke her first sentence in my defense “Amanda will be awarded the IOLTA $$ from the sale of the tractor correct?” The mediator said yes, absolutely! That was forgotten about along with several other things and the money from the sale of the tractor were later given to defense and I was charged $750 to make that change to the judgement after it was sworn in. She does not know the correct way to prepare a judgement and has no idea about custody agreements. She does not care how upset you get with her representation and does not care how long your divorce takes. Laurie is a LIAR and all about lining her own pockets. she does not care about your children or you even though she says she does with a big smile on her face. She will not do what she says she is going to do and you will rarely even speak to her during your divorce. Do yourself a favor and run far away. This woman is only a saleswoman and her best day is the day you give her the retainer. She should have retired 50 years ago."

"Laurie Cunningham does not represent me. But in the last two years I have had many encounters with this lawyer. With no evidence she goes to bat for her client to take children away from mothers who don't deserve it. If you want a crooked lawyer that's willing to fight dirty this is the lady for you. In my personal opinion this person should not be involved in any family court. The things that this woman has done to my children are going to take me years to undo. Childhood trauma is some of the hardest trauma for a human to work through. And by putting my children through what they've been through and what we're going to continue to go through because of this woman should be criminal. Laurie Cunningham if you had any evidence to back up any claims against me I wouldn't be writing this review. Every decision that our judge involved in our case has made has been based off of your hearsay no facts no evidence just you saying I'm the person that you want me to be."

"When I initially spoke with Ms. Cunningham, she seemed well educated on the matter and how to go about my family law/custody case. At the time I had the money and was well informed, told me how to go about everything. Then... My court case came up. Ms Cunningham was so unprepared that I didn't even get a chance to speak with her before my case. Even as the case started,she didn't request to speak with me before hand, she brought up issues that weren't even talked about and gave the impression that lost my credibility. The hearing lasted no more than 12 minutes and I ended up losing an extra day with my daughter that her dad won. She talked a big game with me but the day of the hearing, was unprepare, stuttering and not confident about my case at all. I was so upset and when I asked for an immediate meeting her assistant postponed it for 2 weeks. Even during the meeting, I organized all my files and explained to her everything that SHOULD'VE been explained and implored her to just listen to my recordings and look at my evidence, she acted as if it wasn't enough and dismissed anything I brought up to her. I'm so disappointed in this office I've had to figure out my case alone for MONTHS because of lawyers like her that will promise you the world but then leave you high and dry when you need them most. Now, broke, being summoned to give her money I don't have. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LAWYER AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK. IF YOU LOOK LIKE YOU'RE MADE OF MONEY SHE WILL HELP YOU. IF YOU LOOK LIKE NO ONE SHE WILL GIVE LITTLE TO NO SUPPORT TO YOUR CASE. SAVE YOUR MONEY."
