"Do not purchase anything from here. Peranis is a fraud. My brand new bauer elbow pad strap ripped from being defective and was well within the warranty period; however, Peranis would not fulfill the warranty because they were already worn and told me that Bauer was responsible. I contacted Bauer representatives and they told me that it did not matter that the equipment was worn because it was in fact under warranty, but policy states that Peranis was responsible for the warranty coverage because Peranis is provided a yearly funding pot, from bauer, that is strictly for the purpose of fulfilling warranties. I recontacted Peranis and they still refused to fulfill their warranty and left me with nothing but to “sew” the defective equipment. Bauer’s equipment has a 90 day warranty on their elbow pads and peranis has a 30 day warranty on bauer equipment, which I was well within both. I’ll never purchase another piece of equipment from Peranis. They also did a horrible job sharpening my skates and ruined my profile on 180 dollar blades. I’ve spent a lot of money at the Flint Peranis and I’ll never return back, I will go to pure hockey for now on. Do not buy skates there either, they don’t have the technology needed to measure your foot. Update: if you’d like, I can add pictures to show my skate blades and the profile damaged and the ripped elbow pad strap? Second, I did not inquire on them being “sewed” or “patched” and having to wait for them to be prepared, that is just poor business and they were three weeks old. Am I just supposed to play games without elbow pads for a few days while I wait for your company to satisfy the warranty at your convenience? if they are on warranty, which they were, I expect a replacement, as bauer reps said should have happened, or atleast my money back so I could have purchased a better pair that wasn’t defective after 3 weeks. This isn’t a new vehicle being asked to be exchanged for a warranty, it’s an elbow pad."

"The days of good customer service are gone. This place doesn’t care about customer service. Bought a new pair of skates from them because they spent the time fitting me. Instead of saving a good amount of money and ordering online I got them there. I was told by one employee that a profile on the skates came with the purchase. Come to find out it doesn’t and it is not even discounted. This is a far cry from the way we ran things 20 years ago in Lansing. Go to Perfect Edge in Howell, a lot better customer service!!"

"Great and a wonderful place to go. I am starting to play hockey and needed skates, told them the budget I was in, the person showed me, a few pairs of skates and found that something in my price range and fit my feet comfortably and the person showed me how to lace the skates and was more then happy to answer many questions that I had. Will post the picture of my skates later. What a great and wonderful place to buy equipment"
