"Second time seeing Wild Lights at the Detroit Zoo and it was pretty good, except we will never go on the first night again. Too many glitches, no signage, there should be lights at the footpath level so people can see where to go and any broken ground where you might fall, AND a downright rude man (staff or volunteer?) kicked us out of an area because we didn't have wristbands. (He could have been much more polite and made a suggestion of someplace else to warm up -- it was seriously cold out -- What if we were from out of town? No excuse for his rude-jerky behavior.) Never have I ever been treated so rudely. Meadowbrook, the Motown Museum, Rochester ... go to these places for beautiful lights and you won't be overcharged or treated so rudely. Shame on that guy!! Did he just move here? That's not how we roll here. Next time -- if there's a next time -- we won't go till later in the run when everything has been tried and true and ready for those paying such a high price to see the lights and park ($58). If you go be sure to dress warm and be ready to walk. There are few warming stations. Got my greatest happiness watching little children chase animated lights on the ground. There's music but there could be so much more! And where were the animal sounds that was so delightful last year??? If you want a better experience, go to any of the places I've listed above ... or ... the Toledo Zoo for their lights. You have no idea how it pains this lifelong Michigander to write that."
"Nice inside. I really liked all the large paintings on display. It seemed quieter thankfully than one of the other coffee places nearby in the literal noise meaning. I reserve judgement on the coffee...it was beautiful but, barely warm...service meh...might just be that one person."
"We had a wonderful time at the zoo today. The staff was all pleasant and helpful. The bathrooms were clean. Everything looked very nice."
"Aglow! Our WildLights show is on! Get your tickets as early as possible online,so you don't miss out."
"I enjoyed my experience at the Detroit Zoo! All the animals were out and we're active. The park was well cleaned and it was very entertaining"
