Bank of America (with Drive-thru ATM)

"Earlier this year the bank charged me $97 to close a bank account that wasn't mine. I spent almost a year trying to get this resolved with no luck. Save yourself alot of trouble and bank somewhere else. The service is awful. I expected much better after 30 years as a loyal customer."

"I spent 3 hrs at the bank trying to get money transferred from a previous checking acct to the new one (due to fraud on the original acct). Why 5 stars? Because of Debra who was working to get someone from BoA’s fraud dept to answer the phone after I had spent 3 hours at home trying the same. She and a coworker worked overtime to get this done and verified. Thank you Debra."

"First of all if I could have gave zero stars I would have. My wife and I had a savings account with Bank of America in Woodhaven. Every trip to this bank has ended with horrible service. From no drive through to having to come in and go through an appointment process to do the simplest things. Because of our bad experience with the Merrill lynch banker we decided to close our account and move our money somewhere else. lisa the service person set up the time for Saturday. We told her we're were going to deposit this check into our bank immediately so we went threw the whole process and she gave us a cashiers check for a large sum and we could not deposit it into the new bank because of them post dating the check for a few days out . WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD that they were going to give us a post dated check before we closed our account. We would have waited til until the next business day. How incompetent. This institution does not care about you at all. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. For banking."

"Slow and understaffed. Always like that. No intentions of ever changing it. Bank of America customer service has gone down tremendously. They don’t care about their customers. It’s take it or leave it attitude from them. Really hate this brand now."

"This is one of many issues, but the latest. Yesterday I went to close my savings account. The teller said I can give you the money out of it but you need to make a appointment or call the 800 number. 2 800 numbers later that don't work. Call centers closed, with no hrs of operation? I called after 1100am. So now I'm going back to the bank and seeing the manager. This is just a small part of my bad experiences with BOA! Never again! Credit unions rock!"
