Reviews of Fifth Third Bank & ATM
"I just had a quick question when I walked in. Whoever she was, didn't have to be so rude."
"Positive experience at 5/3 Bank in Michigan City today! Ted Paparodis coached me on getting the documents I needed to do the banking I was trying to accomplish. He is friendly and efficient. 5/3 Bank review PROs- I find the mobile and desktop banking platforms easy to use. CONs- One cannot add a note to internal transfers and there are no numbers one can use to link a check to it's respective mobile deposit on the mobile and desktop platforms."
"I am being stolen from a customer of theirs multiple times. When taking manners into our own hands because both banks (mine and this one) are not doing anything we decided to call and tell them that a customer of theirs has stolen a huge amount of money from me not once but twice before I could get the account closed after the money came back in. The person who answered the phone could not care less and hung up on us when asked to be transfered to the fraud department. You think a bank would care if one of their accounts is stealing loads of money but guess not lol."
"04/28/23 UPDATE to previous review of earlier post ~*~ So, I attempted to call again a moment ago and, YEP! you guessed it… same voicemail! THATS IT! IM TOTALLY OVER IT! I am going to speak with my husband and discuss our different options for banking in Michigan City. Or, for that matter, if we really want to anyway. It was only for the convenience. It is so frustrating when you consistently fail to reach someone when you call a business! Especially your bank. These people have total control over your money! There is most definitely something wrong here! Does management not have control over the employees? Or, is there just a complete lack of control and accountability within the entire company in the Michigan City branch? Something is wrong and needs to be addressed. I can understand getting their voicemail system once and awhile but certainly not every 4 out of 5 calls these are just horrible odds! My husband and I have had both a checking account and a savings account here for a few years and have discussed switching our larger account from South Bend to here. However, recently I’ve attempted using my credit card to make a purchase for my business and, lo and behold… it tells me that this card cannot handle the transaction! It’s only for $398.00 for heaven’s sakes! I know that there was, within the last three months, a credit posted on this card for over $2000! Sooo… it has a credit balance! We very rarely use this particular credit card. In fact, I would say that we only use it enough to keep it active. Additionally, out of the last four times I’ve tried to reach a customer service representative I end up getting a voicemail message advising me that “if I’m an employee to enter my employee number.” And that’s pretty much it. It does not tell you to leave a message and that someone will contact you within blah blah blah time… no! The message just ends with a beep and one may then leave a message in the general mailbox and pray that you will receive a call back. But, from my experience this has never happened! Now, understand, I’m not trying to reach them during their peak hours, no, it is now only 1:45 pm! So, please… what gives? I’m just totally frustrated!"
"I opened an account here after moving back to the area and was recommended by a friend to talk to Ted. Every time I've called or visited the Michigan City branch, he has helped me immensely with information and advice. He is knowledgeable, professional, and a true asset to 5/3 bank. With bankers like Ted in the office I will be sticking with 5/3."
