Lily I. Jutila Center for Global Design and Business

The Lily I. Jutila Center for Global Design and Business, located at 200 Michigan Street in Hancock, Michigan, is a unique institution housed in a renovated former hospital building. The center is home to Finlandia University's International School of Art & Design, the Reflection Gallery, and various independently owned businesses. With expansive and professional art studios and labs, the center fosters a collaborative community where students, faculty, and business professionals can interact and share ideas.

With over 30 service and retail businesses, the Jutila Center offers a range of services from wellness and design to insurance, engineering, and software development. Visitors can also enjoy a visit to Hancock's popular Kangas Cafe, which overlooks Portage Lake. The center is also home to several University departments including the Business office, Marketing Communications, and Human Resources.

In addition to its human occupants, the Jutila Center is also home to two great horned owls that live in a nest box on the south roof. The owls have successfully raised chicks each spring for several years, adding a unique natural element to the center.
