Great Start to Quality Southwest Resource Center, located at 268 East Kilgore Road in Portage, Michigan, is dedicated to helping families in Allegan, Barry, Berrien, Calhoun, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, and Van Buren counties find quality child care. With over 40 years of experience, our center works to ensure that children in Southwest Michigan have access to safe and inspiring care.

We provide support to both unlicensed, subsidized providers and registered/licensed home-based providers in Kalamazoo County, thanks to funding from the Michigan Department of Education-Office of Great Start. Our Race to the Top-Early Learning Challenge grant allows us to offer training and technical support to improve the quality of care offered by providers in our region.
