"Recently moved out. Stayed here one year. Pros. Location is close to freeway. Staff (leasing office and even maintenance) is kind and helpful. Cons. The tenants. Tenants here are young partiers, drinkers who stumble into the elevators late at night, loud music can be heard in the hallways late at night, in the gym people blare their music/tv shows etc out loud with zero consideration for others, gym etiquette is nonexistent, etc. Felt like I was living in a college dorm. That’s what made me ultimately leave. For the very high prices you pay for rent, I expected a more mature community. I’m young as well, but didn’t expect this tbh."

"I have been living at the griffin for a year and just renewed for another 18 months. Of all the places I have lived in (all new builds), The Griffin is top-notch, and the management is fantastic; they genuinely care about their residents, and it shows, from friendly conversations and knowing you on a personal level to having resident events. They indeed are the best. The location couldn’t be better. Being right by 696 and 75, getting where you need to be is a breeze. I have made a lot. of good friends here. If you are looking for a place to call home, look no further than The Griffin. Also, the pool takes you to a hidden resort!"

"Beautiful grounds and apartments, Christina in the office is great. I didn't have many issues with the grounds or the facilities but for what I paid for a 1 bedroom I dealth with an excessive amount of noise. The other people living here are truly what bring down my rating. Often I'd find beer cans in random hallways on weekends. Management had to email everyone about pool etiquette, because people in one bedrooms think its cool to bring 8 people to the pool on memorial day weekend. My friends often speculated the builder skipped on sound proofing on my unit. I could hear every single footstep from the person above me, which is only a problem since they would have parties every week until 3 am. The gym is not "state of the art" as they claim, but you can make it work. I would only go back if I could find a 5th floor unit."

"Can’t say enough great things about the Griffin from their staff, units and amenities. Mike, Debbie and Christina are fantastic to work with in the office. They’re all always on top of things and are flexible on making things work for you no matter what the circumstance is. Building is brand new and in a great location walking distance from downtown Royal Oak. They do a great job of hosting parties multiple times a year to bring together all of the residents and make it feel like a truly special place to stay. If you’re looking for somewhere to rent in Royal Oak, The Griffin is the place to be."

"5/5! Recently moved in and it’s been amazing! We have a lot of common areas you can use to work from home or hang out. Also really friendly community and different events for residents and friends. Staff is always helpful and friendly. For sure there will be cheaper options but no better place than this!"
