"I loved my apartment at Chestnut lake. If you do what you're supposed to you don't have an issue. Convient location. I lived there for 3 years."

"This place is extremely bad, with bugs all over, walls dirty, I am having to call maintenance every 2 weeks for something that would take 2 hours long but instead it takes 3 weeks and I’m saying that because it happens to me everytime I call maintenance, After maintenance come they would leave a big mess behind and I would have to clean up everytime they would come. I’m am absolutely not recommending this place with all respect."

"I've lived many places in my life and never had to call maintenance this many times. There are ants and bugs of a large variety. You can hear your neighbors clear as day. They reuse and cobble together the same ancient AC units that are no longer manufactured and will backflow large amounts of water into your closet. You will always hear your neighbor using the shower or hot water. The power outlets had fuses and were from the 70's. The lack of reinvestment into the infrastructure of the apartments is painfully clear as they've not been meaningfully updated since they were originally built. I had a fridge, sink, pipes, AC, and outlets all go out and need replaced in under a year. Bugs and now two floods. If you live near the front of the complex be prepared to have no parking space if theres a football game. The group this place is owned and managed by is based out of New York.Truly phenomenal level of negligence displayed by the owners. Not to mention the lady upstairs illegally runs a baby sitting business inspite it clearly being against the lease. If you're reading this goodluck in your apartment search! "

"Just moved in a few weeks ago, so far, it’s been amazing. Great location, very close to major stores and Ann Arbor, as well as Washtenaw and Eastern. The process of applying was incredibly easy because of the incredibly helpful staff. The apartment is very spacious and quiet and everything works well, only had one issue with a faucet which maintenance came end fixed the day I reported it. So far, i’m very happy with Chestnut Lake."

"This place is okay if you need a semi-decent apartment in Ypsilanti. I haven't had issues with maintenance or broken appliances. But parking can be a problem after 5pm. There are also a ton of geese, which isn't the apartment's fault, but it makes going for a walk outside difficult. There are not many amenities when compared to other apartments. Overall, this was a decent place when I moved in, but if you want to spend a little bit of extra money I would look at other apartments that have a few more amenities and where parking isn't an issue."
