"I have loved living at the Overlook for the past 2 years! Besides the close proximity to campus, maintenance is the best thing about living here. On the rare occasion that I need something fixed or replaced, maintenance responds within 24 hours. They have been extremely helpful and made living here very enjoyable. The buildings and shared common spaces are also cleaned regularly. The rooms themselves seem new and recently renovated. Suzi from the leasing office has gone above and beyond to make sure all my questions are answered and needs are met. Although it is expensive, I think the Overlook is a great place for graduate students looking to be near campus, have reliable maintenance, and enjoy their living experience. I’m looking forward to renewing for next year — I just hope that the rent doesn’t keep going up!"

"Overlook is not a good place for students to live. It is very loud and the walls are thin. The person living above me has woken me up between 12-5am on numerous occasions. I have several videos and recordings of the noise and they have been unwilling to get the person to stop. I have been complaining for months and nothing has been done. Their management team refuses to properly address the situation despite the leasing agreements clearly stipulating that unruly neighbors will be fined. Additionally, the buildings have all been under construction for several months and residents have been unable to access the promised “amenities”. I would not wish these accommodations on my worst enemy."

"The apartments are suitable for graduate students at Notre Dame. Friendly Staff and they are willing to do what they can to resolve any housing related issues. Suzi Brown is very helpful. Five years living at Overlook was a good experience overall. Very close to campus. Although it is somewhat expensive, you will have a comfortable living experience at Overlook."

"I very disappointed in my experience here. The mailroom is a complete mess and takes forever to find packages The internet is down and won’t be up for approx. 5+ days. This is not due to an area outage but rather a broken part of their facility they need to replace. Additionally points: there’s currently no gym due to construction but failed to notify incoming residents of this, currently projected to miss out of 4 of 12 month without access ( and that if they finish on time) Overcharged me and then acted rude when I pointed out their mistake ( this issue was fixed in a timely manner) I had to wait over a month to get my mailbox key ( I think it was a ridiculous amount of time to be without access to USPS)"

"Usually the photos on the websites do not match the actual units but, in this case the photos on the website do not do justice to help affect the units actually are for a student or a newly wed. They are spacious, clean, provided with all the amenities mentioned in the website, quick Response to any maintenance request placed, and most of all friendly and supportive leasing managers. Molly and suzi have been more than cooperative and helpful. I got the studio for the time being and planned on moving into a 1 bedroom as soon as there’s one available but ended up falling in love with the place."
