"BEWARE of Westshore Property Management! Do NOT utilize this company for property rentals. 1.SCAMMING VETERANS- Taking advantage of our Veterans financially, saying Vets are liable for property damage which was originally present prior to leasing. 2. NO INITIAL PROPERTY ASSESSMENT/INSPECTION TOGETHER WITH THIS COMPANY AND RENTER PROVIDED. 3.NO INITIAL CHECKLIST PROVIDED FOR PRE-EXISTING DAMAGES. 4. COMPANY CHARGES FOR FRAUDULENT DAMAGES & REQUESTS REPAIRS (water plumbing bread 5 feet underground, renter, a Veteran, did not have access to underground pipes) 5. UNSANITARY/UNHEALTHY LIVING CONDITIONS- nice and spider INFESTATIONS. Gardener snakes in a basement. 6. COMPANY TRIES TO KEEP SECURITY DEPOSITS (ALL OR MOST) DUE TO UNDOCUMENTED, PRE-EXISTING HOUSING PROBLEMS AND CHARGE RENTERS FOR REPAIRS. 7. BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU reporting. Recommendations: Utilize another company. Research reviews of any company you choose. Research & Contact Better Business Bureau of West Michigan for property management company scores."
"Signed my lease in June 2023. The apartment itself is spacious and up-to-date for the most part. My AC did not work properly when I first moved in. After multiple phone calls and many trips from an HVAC company, it is finally fixed properly in September at no cost to me. It did take a very long time to finally complete, but it is done and did not cost me any money out of pocket. They answered all of my maintenance requests in a timely manner and fixed any issues that needed to be fixed before move-in."
"This was the worst rental experience ever! In 3 years I never missed a payment, the house was old and had plumbing issues that they expected me to pay for the cost! They tried to evict me or make me pay! They were completely unreasonable and impossible to work and attempted to keep my deposit. Took them to court and they were forced to pay back deposit. Steer clear of this place!!!"
"Poor management company. The up most disrespectful and unprofessional team I have ever met. The neighbors and I had sent complaints to the previous property owners about piled up garbage near the side of the residence where the dumpsters would go. Which was left by the previous renters. The new owners who had made sure to stick a notice on every units door telling us about the switch, even met 2 of the staff here while dte came and turned the gas back on. Then took it upon themselves to notify only the downstairs unit about the neighbors complaint ( not township , safe built didn't even know about the complaint they answered to ) about a messy yard and sent whoever to address the situation . At the time of their arrival I was at work . But returned to my residence that I have been at for a year now, to everything of mine that is obviously not garbage, I had a outdoor pub style table, a hammock stand , fire pit table I used for cooking outside on , 2 camping chairs one black one light blue , 2 camping tents one if which was a screened in porch tent, and the other a Coleman 6 person dome tent , 1 dart board , 3 flower pots one with a strawberry plant , one with a blueberry plant and freshly planted bulbs I bought and planted recently from my son's fundraiser at school, a storage crate that had all my colored glass and refractory skulls in it., a 8 ton piston jack which was near my storage shed . When I had called westshore property management they first acted like they absolutely had no idea what I was talking about and hinted it may of been the township. Well I called the township and no, there had been no complaints. So I called westshore back and then they proceeded to admit to making the call and tried to offer some money off my rent for the loss of my personal items. Nor would they disclose to me who they hired to attend to stealing my stuff. No proper protocols were taken. No notice of the complaint to all renters, no yellow or orange tag on anything nor a letter with the tagged items listed and with a proper amount of time notice to straighten up those items. As I demanded the location of where my stuff was brought. They acted like they didn't care too much. Then proceeded to ask how can we make this right. Suggested replacing all of my most important items I said well yea that will work. So far only a outdoor table and 3 chairs were returned. This is in fact a crime that is considered a felony and goes by the name , Larcening from a building. Below are the photos of how my patio area was set up and what westshore considered to be garbage ."
