"Had a package out for delivery on Friday and tracking says insufficient address. The address was correct and complete however the post office sent it back over the weekend. This is not acceptable and just pure laziness on the employees part."
"I am very upset on what is going on in the Chassell Post Office! I have been told that there is a new postmaster that creates chaos by not working with her customers. She is very rude when confronted, just terrible! Here is the problem. I have been been sending business receipts and documents (for years) to a business partner of mine that has owned a business in Chassell for over 30 years. Never had a problem! Now, with the direction of the new postmaster, she is returning all of the documents to me over a technicality that he has failed to do. This is nonsense! We are paying fines due to the documents not getting to their proper destination. He has spoken to her and tried to resolve the problem, guess what, she is still unwilling to work with us. This woman needs to be FIRED!!"
"I recently (last week) received notification from UPS that I had 2 packages delivered. Unfortunately it was a situation where UPS dropped the packages to the post office for USPS to deliver. I drove to post office on the same day to pick them up but nothing was in my mail box or on the shelf at the front … they knew nothing about it. The next day I proceeded to track those 2 parcels. Yes, they entered Chassell post office about 9:20 and they were out the door, being sent back to the sender, by 12:30 on the same day. I questioned this move and was told that because my parcel didn’t have my box number on it, they didn’t have to deliver it. For 25 years, we have paid for a postal box and have NEVER had an issue if the box number wasn’t on mail, until now when this new ‘TEAM’ came to our post office. Now, it appears that if we receive mail, be it a letter or package, without a box number, it is returned to sender. I proceeded to tell this lovely new team that to avoid future problems, I would be placing another mail box on my house for future deliveries. I was told that I can’t do that without a doctor letter. No problem, I said. I’m a disabled senior citizen. The bank of boxes for my sub division is over a quarter mile from my house. I can’t walk that far."
"The girl who delivers my mail is VERY BAD AT HER JOB. She has lost 2 packages in 4 months. Which were both “delivered”. I wish I could have a job to just take peoples packages. Why would the post have so many incompetent people? If you can’t do your job just say so. I wish I knew her name to call her out publicly."
"The staff here used to be very friendly. They'd remember your name, help you to the ends of the earth to get your package delivered on time, and I never had any problems for 8 years. That changed in mid-2022. Their new staff accused me of stealing supplies from them immediately after taking on their new role and within 5 seconds of me entering the building, demanding receipts for things I'd purchased months ago from different USPS locations. I was flabbergasted at their attacks. They did not back down and I was forced to drive to a different post office to ship my packages. They had no evidence I had done anything wrong but insisted I had stolen merchandise, which was completely untrue and uncalled for. I'm a regular business customer who spends a few hundred bucks a month on shipping, stamps, and supplies. The new postmaster of this post office should be ashamed of themselves for this kind of behavior. I will not be stopping here in the future. Beware."
