"I do not recommend Bayside Moving & Storage. The sales rep was good and accommodating. This was appreciated because I had no help either making arrangements to move or unpacking at my destination. As the packing and then loading/delivery progressed, there were problems that I think the sales rep had no control over the people hired. I had a good packer and a bad packer. Anything that was broken or damaged was done by the bad packer. The sales rep told me how all of my pictures/artwork would be packed, and none were, 3 damaged. The sales rep also told me how the transportation people would pack the headboard and footboard on my antique brass bed. They were not, and the connection of one post on the footboard is broken. The transportation people dismantled several things to make packing the van more efficient. At my destination, 2 items were put together incorrectly, which unfortunately with everything going on, I didn’t realize until after they left. In addition, although the delivery did occur within the projected dates, the moving van had a mechanical problem which delayed delivery. Therefore, notified of this late afternoon by the transportation company, I had to rush around to re-organize those involved with the delivery. The sales rep said he would follow my move from beginning to end on my behalf and keep me informed. I am sure he tried. However both the transportation company and the uncrating company kept contacting me to be the coordinator between them and the relocation manager. I referred them to the sales rep. But it soon became clear that I had more current information from these companies than the sales rep did from his contact. So I coordinated. The sales rep patiently listened to the problems, but he became more of a complaint department rather than a resource. He did tell me how to file an insurance claim online with Mayflower. Considering the volume moved and only 30 days in which to file a claim, especially with no help, I had not even finished unpacking. This was my 3rd major move. The other 2 were perfect, nothing broken or damaged, although still stressful. I thought this move would be stressful too. However based on the sales rep and how I was told my belongings would be handled, I felt I had selected the best moving company and believed it would be a reasonably smooth experience. It was not."

The Salesman Bryan was extremely helpful in putting together a plan for moving our furniture into their storage facility and making it easy for us to arrange a delivery when we were ready at our final destination and the pricing was very competitive. We had two movers move our very large home and they handled the move very efficiently. Our large custom pieces were handled with great care, Justin and Tony made sure to blanket wrap everything and they were very methodical and efficient in how they went about moving the items from the house to carefully placing them in the truck.
