"Walters made a very stressful situation of moving a piano from Denver to Utah very pain and stress-free. The Local movers they were partnered with to place the piano in our home I couldn't have been more pleased with. Thank You, for getting our piano delivered safe and sound for us."
"Damaged my piano player and then told me it wasn't covered. Fraudsters and yes they punt the delivery to third parties and take no responsibility for real damage. Avoid at all costs. Google any other service and make sure they don't have some sneaky way out of taking any responsibility for damage. These guys are crooks, liars and weasels. Then they'll lie that it was pre-existing damage...that they don't cover? Morons. People are nice, business is corrupt. zero stars."
"Not happy. Based on the longevity, I'm sure they have been good to most customers, but for me and my family, not so much. I had a signed contract with them. Before they picked up the piano they called and said the mover they used had gone out of business the day before and Walter Piano now wanted to charge me an additional $400 because they needed to use another local mover. They said they would absorb $100 still leaving me with a $300 up charge. They said that they could change the price because of the line in the contract that stated additional charges could be applied if the originally stated details changed. I pointed out that the details on my end had not changed, the stated details in the contract had not changed, and only 'who' they were going to use had supposedly changed. The lady on the phone, Knioya, who claimed to be the owner stated that "their" details had changed so the price increase was justified. Unfortunately, they specifically say in their contract that they will not give out the names of the local contracted movers. It begs the question "how do I know the details changed?" They won't say who the original movers were or who the new movers are. She did say however that it was the local drop off movers and that the new movers were ones they used often. Seems to me that if they used the new movers "often" why didn't they use them on the original contract. I'm concerned for anyone else who may want to use them. Be very careful. I can't speak to the quality of the movers, they may be good. The lady (Michelle) who answered the phone was very nice. The first lady (Samantha) who tried to help me was nice. When she turned me over to her supervisor (Knioya) who claimed to be the owner, that's when things took a turn for the worse. In my opinion, she does not seem to understand contract law (maybe I don't?). Also, in my opinion did not treat me with dignity and respect. Unfortunately, for me and my family, she (Knioya) cancelled the contract even though I offered to split evenly the extra $400 with Walter Piano Transport. What was originally a good price from a reputable company, turned into an average price from a company that I personally felt offended by. IN RESPONSE TO YOUR RESPONSE: Per your Request, I will remove the "Bait and switch" statement. First, there were no threats made. Nothing. Not a hint of one. I would never do that. To insinuate otherwise is unkind. I simply asked that since this contract and emails were across state lines was this a federal statute (enforcing contracts is different in different states). Second: When I asked if I could escalate the issue, Knoiya emphatically stated "no." I repeated the question. She again said "no." I then asked if she was the owner. She said "yes." I repeated the question. She said, "yes, I am the owner." I'm not sure who answered this post, but if you were listening as you state, then you are aware she said there was no one else I could talk to. You are also aware I asked twice if she was the owner, and twice she said, yes. I'm not seeking or threatening legal action. That would be stupid. This is over as far as I'm concerned. Your service may be great, and many of your people were great to work with. I'm stating my view and opinion of my interaction with a specific contract through a specific person at WPT. Please don't make this a bigger issue than it actually is. Simply stated, I believe WPT made a Good faith contract with me. They didn't follow through with it based on things out of MY control. I expressed my concern (never threatened in any manner) to Knoiya. She was rude and unwilling to listen to me. I was not unsympathetic to her issue. I said I'd be willing to split the difference: I would pay $200, she offered $100 and stated "that is all I'm willing to do." I again offered $200, she became rude, said she was canceling the contract, said "good bye", and hung up. Michelle and Samantha were great. Only one employee in my opinion was less than satisfactory. The facts are simple. I move on to another company and you move on to other customers"
"I am very happy with how the move of my great-grandfather’s 120-year-old pump organ from Texas to the Historical Society museum in the county where he and his family homesteaded in Nebraska was handled. I was extremely lucky that it made the trip in just over a month. And loved that it traveled the final leg with two probably very pricey Steinway pianos. The people with the Historical Society couldn’t be happier. Many thanks to Luke and everyone else who helped along the way."
"I was looking for a reputable piano moving company to move a piano from Washington, DC to Chicago, IL. After careful research, I found Walter Piano Moving Company. The staff was very informative and reassuring during the process. Typically this process can take several months from the time of the pick-up to delivery, however, they were able to deliver my piano within three and a half weeks, that was impressive. I know that this does not typically happen but I want to give kudos to all the staff who are responsible for making this happen. I am very appreciative of Samantha, Michele, Alice, the coordinator, supervisor and even the drivers who helped in this process. Thank you for everything. I give Walter Piano Transport five stars!"
