"My wife and I discovered this place not too long ago. And after purchasing a couple lamps, area rugs, and a handful of decorative accessories and knickknacks for our home, we decided to give Emily a shot and put our trust in her for refinishing our Amish oak table and chair set. We chose a beautiful stain and paint combo and could not be happier with her amazing work!! It looks absolutely beautiful with the colors in our home!! If anyone is looking for unique home furnishings, accessories, paints and supplies for their own projects, seasonal knickknacks, etc. or to have cherished furniture redone from someone who genuinely enjoys people AND is beyond helpful in locating or ordering hard to purchase items (if possible)...then 'Just by Happenstance' is worth a visit...or several. "We have been looking for some occasional chairs and a lamp to go with our table (and a difficult to design family room for a long time). I remembered one time as I drove down Groesbeck that I saw a little interior design store. So today I suggested to my wife that we should go there and check out what they have. The store was packed with amazing items and Emily, the proprietor was nice and accommodating. We were left to browse without a typical hounding you get at the big box stores and we really appreciate being able to purchase items from an independent Michigan business. I highly recommend Just by Happenstance!"
"Very happy to have found a local shop offering Fusion mineral paints! The Just by Happenstance website is great and makes browsing products and ordering online effortless and straightforward. I ordered online and did the same day contactless, curbside pickup. Very happy with everything and hope to be able to come shop in person when I re-stock on paint in the near future. The only (obviously understandable) downside was I didn’t get to personally say THANK YOU!!! So I‘m doing so now :)"
