"I adore this store. The massive amount of ingredients I can find in one place is incredible. Every section is beautifully organized and well thought out. The gourmet to go foods and bakery are out of this world. My son loves that you carry quail eggs❤️ keep up the amazing work!"
"The place is ok. Products are fresh very high quality but overpriced. Service could definitely be improved the cashier was not the best and kind of nonchalant. Also the restaurant is terrible in every way pls do not waste your time dining there. The store is ok though, however Trader Joe’s is far better in all ways"
"High end market- and high price point. Great variety of excellent pre made food but rest of store is conventional - nothing organic in anyway. But good for your corn chowder and other classics!"
"I purchased cider recently that went bad before the due date written on the bottle. The manager would not exchange it for me because I was not in the 3 day limit for exchanges. I explained I could not have brought it back sooner because I was caring for a sick person in my household. This is very wrong. It clearly went bad before the due date on the bottle and I brought it back before that due date . I asked to have the general manager call me who was supposed to be in the next day. He or She never called me. They lost a customer for $6.99. I would not trust their deli or bakery. I recently bought a cheesecake that was sour. I returned it the next day and they did give me credit. But that experience makes me wary they could be selling old food."
"I live relatively close to Papa Joe's. I haven't been there in years. I need it a few extra things on Christmas Eve; the first place I went to was Whole Foods once again very disappointed. My daughter told me to go to Papa Joe's. I wonder why I never go there. You can call me a creature of habit. To be honest, when I first stepped into the store, it had a weird fishy smell. I almost turned around, but my daughter, who I was talking to on the phone, told me to walk into the store and check it out. To my surprise, they had a great bakery section that was unbelievable. The desserts were very appealing to the eyes. The taste was fabulous, and the icing on the cake was that they had vegan and gluten-free desserts. Sorry for shopping on Christmas Eve because I work the afternoon shift and do not get out of work till 11:30 at night, and all stores are closed by the time I leave employment... Edit January 24th, 2023. When I go shopping, I don't dress to impress. WARNING when you go to Papa Joe's, you better dress to impress. I wore a pair of black leggings with my black military-style boots (Bates). The first person I encountered was a man pushing a cart, he sneered at me like I smelled funny, but no, it was the store's same fishy smell that was there on Christmas eve. The store is set up like a maze; it took me a few minutes to remember where the bakery department was. Once again, the desserts were fabulous, and the woman behind the counter was pleasant. Since I was in the store, I decided to look around. First, I went to the cheese department; they had a decent variety of cheese, comparable to Kroger Market place on E 12 mile in Royal Oak. I picked out cheese that I thought my daughter would like. Then I noticed the same person milling around the bakery was now standing near the cheese department. At first, I didn't give it much thought until every aisle I went down, and they were there. At that point, I decided to leave, and he followed me to the check-out. Because it's all about the desserts I will be back."
