"Solid park with some play equipment and limited parking, but lots of room for running around and picnicking."
"This is a really lovely shaded park. They have a kids playground with a sandbox, tennis courts in decent shape, benches, a small garden, and a lot of green. I only wish the wood chips were replaced by the flat ground to be more accessible. There's also a tiny library here."
"It's a great park for dogs to run. they need to replace the leash law signs with Karen's not allowed.. need to cover-up all the drains in the park so that in February water can freeze over and have ice between the trees and go ice skating between the trees. It's the most memorable thing I remember about Maxwell Park... 2/3 of the original trees are gone... there was a time from the road you could not see the railroad tracks because there were so many trees... still all in all Maxwell Park is hands down the best park in Royal Oak. In the southwest corner of the park where all the play toys are they need to put a large fence around the whole area and call it manager play area that's what manager contributed was all those toys in the tennis court but the rest of part has naturally beautifully been there for ever."
"Very cute neighborhood park! Shaded, many benches and picnic tables, lots of room to run around. Street parking. 2 enclosed tennis courts, sandbox with toys, play structure, swings and infant swings. Very pretty and fun for the kids. No restrooms."
"Nice wooded park. Lots of room to explore. Very close to the train tracks. Tennis courts. Large play areas. A few geocaches in the park, if that's your thing. It is mine lol. Quiet secluded neighborhood as well. I would imagine mosquitoes could be a problem here during certain times of the year. Multiple spots that might hold water but in the early spring, no issues at all."
