Reviews of Macomb 4x4
"Update 10.8.2021 - Just paid another shop to correct the driver side upper front spring isolator. It was not installed correctly and the locating pins were not protruding through the spring mount. I want some money back! Update 9.1.2021 - I just realized that the rear sway bar links were also installed wrong. See pics. I think I should be refunded some money for the time I spent correcting their mistakes. This is my experience, yours may vary. Work to be performed on 2020 Wrangler JLUR as follows (All parts were purchased by me from an online retailer and provided with vehicle for installation): Install Rancho 2" sport lift Install Rancho front and rear adjustable track bars Install Rancho geometry correction brackets I had an "appointment" for Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 10am. I dropped off my Jeep once the door opened sometime after 10. I was expecting the Jeep to be complete the same day, as I had an "appointment". This was not the case at all, as apparently an "appointment" is the time designated for a customer to drop off their vehicle, and not the day or time it will be worked on. I called to check on the status of my Jeep that afternoon and was told it would be more like Friday for completion. Friday I was told it would be Monday, May 24, 2021, as they needed to tweak a few things. I was called Monday the 24th and told it was all set and ready for pickup. I picked up the Jeep and drove it home, it drove well and tracked straight. However, once I was home and crawled underneath to inspect their work, I realized that all 4 springs were installed in the wrong locations. The springs on my 2020 JLUR are corner specific from the factory, with the slightly taller springs being on the passenger side. Rancho's springs are the same and the correct location is etched on each spring as well as noted in the instructions that were included with all the Rancho parts I dropped off with the Jeep. They also "overlooked" the relocation of the rear brake lines and did not complete that part of the lift procedure at all. Needless to say, I was not happy, I called and left them a few voicemails and dropped the Jeep back off the same day, Monday May 24, 2021. It was after office hours, but the rear shop door was open and I was able to leave my keys with an employee and explain my displeasure with the situation. I received a call the next day late morning, and he apologized for not calling earlier, but he was on the phone with Rancho trying to get an explanation on the springs. He told me that Rancho said the springs on the passenger side have a slightly higher spring rate than the driver side. I informed him that the passenger side Rancho springs are also slightly longer, and he did not believe me. I told him they are that way from the factory as well. He did not believe me, as he said he spoke with a dealership and they did not list different part numbers. I went into my garage and pulled out the factory springs they removed from my Jeep, and here are the facts: FL part number 3660AD FR part number: 3661AD (passenger side and slightly longer) RL part number: 3590AA RR part number: 3591AA (passenger side and slightly longer) To their credit, they 100% owned up to the mistake and would correct it. To their determent, I did not receive my Jeep back until Saturday, May 29, 2021. Yep, my Jeep was there for roughly 10 days or so. I have never experienced this type of reaction to a mistake in the places I have worked at or any business that has made a mistake. The reaction I typically receive are apologies followed by the mistake moved to the forefront and corrected ASAP. Not my experience here at all. I was made to be patient and wait until a rack was available to correct their mistakes. They would not bump anyone else to get my Jeep corrected and 100% completed, I had to wait, and was asked to please be patient as they were slammed busy. I am fortunate I understand my Jeep's suspension components and how they work and was able to see and understand that the original install was wrong and incomplete. Others may not be so lucky."
"Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very fast and clean install of my KargoMaster ladder rack for my Colorado. Gave very solid advice about lifting kits and options in the future I was interested about. If you're thinking about lifting your first truck I would come here and get some good advice first. Definitely coming here again for my future plans."
"I've been a customer of his for a long time and I will continue to bring my vehicles here. The staff is very knowledgeable and attentive. Any "issue" I have had is related to a defective part, not the service itself and it's quickly attended to before I get my car back. I don't feel like I'm being gouged when I bring my car in to get fixed, which is a good feeling. Great service and affordable."
"Amazing workmanship, honest people, warranty backed work, in depth customizations to almost all aspects of my vehicle. They pretty much rebuilt my entire suburban, even fabricating parts better than OEM specs in some instances. And pricing is on point! I will always go here, and can honestly and truly recommend that you should as well. Top notch in my book!"
"Good place, the owner is nice and honest and the coworkers are just as good, everyone does their share here. Had a nice little display rack and set up in the front as well. Had my subaru worked on and everything turned out good, thank you!"
