"The first thing I noticed when I went there was the help wanted sign. It was a bit much and I thought it was a little funny. Now that I've been there a few times, I realized it's a toxic environment that only older generations would tolerate. They don't want workers to be of phones, but smoking outside I guess is fine. I bought a defective bottle of fix-a-flat. The middle-aged man, possibly manager, sent a woman out to do it for me. I'm sure if I were a man, this wouldn't have happened. It was very demeaning. I was there another time where a customer ahead of me was overcharged. Then I too, was overcharged. Her explanation was "That's how it rang up". I went there last night to get a couple beverages. One of the ladies was mopping. I apologized as I grabbed what I wanted. She sneared at me. Then I went to pay. I was about to put my loyalty info in the card reader, when I was interrupted saying "You have to buy at least $5 to pay by card" I told her no problem. I was just putting my info in. I am done being treated rudely. The Sunoco down the road is so much better and friendlier."
"Employees sitting outside smoking while long lines. The food is way over priced and isn't even good. Best bet is to drive past and go somewhere else. And watch your bill! They'll overcharge you."
"We have a cabin in the area, and have visited this store often, we have had both good and bad service over the last 2 years, our last visit was September 21st 2019 around 5pm, saddly we won't be back, the cashier was openly rude and had no problem letting everyone know she was angry because we paid with a 100 dollar bill, we offered to go somewhere else, but she didn't take the offer. Barryton is a small town, we enjoy supporting the community and its businesses, we will be taking our gas station business down the street."
"A few months ago I tried to get some food here but the cashier was making racist jokes so I told him to put my food back bc I don't give money to racists. Thought I'd give the place a second chance today and tried to get a cup of coffee. The owner refused to accept my debit card. I said ok then I can't pay for it and I tried to leave without the coffee. The owner said he would call the police. After one of his cashier's offered to pay cash out of her pocket for my coffee the owner decided to take my debit card. Anyway, should have just kept boycotting racists I guess."
"I've been in there a few times. They're either rude as hell or on drugs. One employee started tweaking out behind the counter while I was there last time. The hot food sitting in the rack looks to be never cleaned, I had boso sticks from there before and they were hard as a rock. Told me I couldn't get a refund because I already walked outside with the item and could of done something to it. What could I have done? Inject cement into it?"
