"Found the right truck on Facebook Marketplace – 6 hours away across Lake Michigan. Spent the last several days working out the logistics of getting to Montague Michigan from Milwaukee Wisconsin. Ferry isn’t running yet. Andy Heykoop generously offered to pick us up in Grand Rapids (an hour away) if we flew in. Decided to rent a car and drive over. Left early this morning and two hours into the trip and three tolls in Illinois, Andy texts that he just sold the truck to someone else. Took my breath away! Came home $150 poorer (for the rental) and no truck."
