"Joint review of horrible experience with montway and Aja trans inc. First I was under the impression that montway was an actual travel company and not a broker that was how they presented themselves on their website. I learned via email my vehicle was being picked up my a driver with Aja transport on November 15 and would be delivered to my home on November 20 or 21. My vehicle arrived in Los Angeles on November 19 and I was not contacted by anyone, however the previous owner was contacted bc the driver from Aja bc he was not able to drive the vehicle off the carrier. On Nov 22 I contacted montway and asked why I was not made aware that my vehicle had been in Los Angeles since Nov 19 and of course they had no answer but did provide me with a number to contact someone from Aja. Arrangements were made for me to meet the driver with my vehicle on November 23. I spent 3 hours unloading my vehicle. The driver was completely useless and spoke approximately 14 words of English. I asked why the vehicle wasn’t delivered to my home and they said it was because it was inoperable. I said that it didn’t matter if the vehicle operated or not bc it still had to be unloaded and it could’ve been unloaded at my home (which I paid for) just the same as their yard. At this point it was Thanksgiving eve and I decided there was nothing more to be done. The driver kept my keys and I advised montway that I was leaving for vacation the following day (Thanksgiving) and advised I would address the issue upon my return. On the 27th I returned and requested to meet someone from aja at the yard so I could get my keys and have the vehicle towed. I was met around noon and montway and I agreed that the fee for the towing should be deducted from the amount due to aja. The driver refused to give me my keys unless I paid the full amount. So finally I paid the full amount and was then asked to sign something and I told him I wouldn’t sign the electric document bc I didn’t know what it was and he he said he wouldn’t give me my keys unless I signed the document. Finally out of complete frustration I signed the phone. During this time the driver from aja and his dispatch communicated with montway and agreed to refund me 100. My towing fee was 240. While at the storage yard I observed the truck had been moved on the carrier during transit. During this time I believe that the driver of the vehicle lowered the bags in the vehicle and scrapped the underside which subsequently created a short in my wiring which I am working through currently. As a warning I would never recommend using montway or aja trans inc. 1. communication was poor from both parties. Communication was especially bad by aja trans inc and they spoke very very little English. Not sure why they do not use a translator service. They also neglected to contact when my vehicle arrived in Los Angles. I believe this is part bc they created a no -functioning vehicle and were trying to fix the issue before notifying me. 2. I paid for the vehicle to be transported to my home. The vehicle was transported approximately 30 miles from my home. I incurred a 240 towing fee to get the vehicle out of their facility and only agreed to reimburse 100 of that. It does not change the fact the vehicle was inoperable and needed to be removed from the carrier. Why was that not done at my home? 3. My keys were held for ransom. The tow truck driver was on location and waiting - once I paid the fee I was still not provided my keys unless I signed the document on the phone. 4. Aja trans inc moved the vehicle during transport and during that move they created the condition of the vehicle (in operable) and took no responsibility. They got in over their heads transporting custom vehicles. I will never use montway again and if you do use montway I would specifically request that aja transport not be allowed to transport our vehicle. They are careless and reckless."
