"Everything went well during the filling procedures and X-ray. Staff was very friendly. I lost my insurance and realized a hole has developed in the filling I paid for. I wanted to see if they’d fix it, but they still require me to pay, out of pocket- for an issue of this filing falling apart. Not being able to redeem the issue and the audacity to charge me a second time for their lack of accountability to fix a problem, to charge me hundreds for it- is ridiculous. If you have the money, great place. If you want someone who will be reliable and go the extra mile, this ain’t it."

"I used to see Dr. Gilbert over 20 years ago. Unfortunately I had an insurance change, and had to find another dentist. Luckily, I recently had an insurance change which allowed me to come back. I gave up on my previous dentist's office where they regularly postpone appointments at the last minute. Sometimes when I got there, or was on the way. Even worse, they require a long time before they can provide a new time slot. I needed chipped upper front tooth fixed before a reunion. I turned to Royal oak dental and explained my situation. They got me in within a week. Well I was there, Dr Gilbert not only fixed the chip tooth. He also ground down the bottom edge of the adjoining tooth. He had pointed out to me that it protruded lower than the other, and he asked me if I'd like him to even them out. I have an annual cap on my dental insurance benefits. It's imperative that I watch it very closely so as not to exceed it. I asked him what the charge would be to my insurance company that would be deducted from my total. I told him I always try to save benefits for unforeseen issues. He laughed and informed me that he had never planned on charging anything. I appreciated the observation and the gesture. My smile turned out looking super. Recently I had a crown replaced. Afterwards there was a slight sensitivity, but only when I bit on something that was hard when it was way at the back of my mouth. I called the office to tell them I was in no hurry but would like to come in sometime. It was only a minor inconvenience. I could chew fine I let them know. That wasn't how they looked at it. I was informed that they wanted me to come in right away if anything about the crown is causing discomfort. Odds are strong it's minor, but we don't take any chances they stated. They got me in that very day. I was unaware that Julie, the lady who performed the deep scaling on me so well was also highly qualified to do other procedures. She ground just a smidgen off the new crown. I now have no issues with any of my teeth or gums. She's very good at what she does, and is a true pleasure just to be around. Everyone in the entire staff has been knowledgeable and helpful. All of my needs get taken care of in a prompt and effective manner. I'm glad to be home."
