Ashley Nails

"I found this salon on google after the nail tech I was seeing sold his shop and moved too far for me to keep going. My first appointment seemed normal. I scheduled with Ashley. I got an acrylic fill with shellac and some nail art on two nails and also got a pedicure. I made another appointment on my way out. My second appointment was for Ashley’s first slot of the day, 9:45 am (15 minutes before the shop opens). I walked in at 9:45 and she had another client already in her chair that she had just started working on. She looked up and said “hi, your appointment is for a fill but do you want to do a pedicure first?” I said, OK, sure, since obviously if I didn’t get a pedicure, I would just be waiting anyway. During my pedicure, Ashley finished with one client and took yet another client. When my pedicure was finished, I sat and waited another 20 minutes to get in her chair. During the time she was working on my nails, she stopped 3-4 times to do nail art on other customers that saw other techs, as she is the only one at the shop that does nail art. This took so much time. I didn’t complain and was very patient because it was 10 days before Christmas so of course everyone wanted some festive nail art. I tipped 25% just as I had the first visit even though my visit ended up taking over 3 1/2 hours. I also made another appointment for my next fill. When arriving to this third appointment, which was again scheduled for 9:45 am (first slot of the day and 15 minutes before the salon opens), Ashley again had a client in her chair. Again she told me I was only scheduled for a fill but would I like a pedicure. Once again I agreed to a pedicure. I had to wait again when my pedicure was complete. She had again taken TWO clients total in front of me. My appointment was for 9:45 and I did not get into her chair until 11:40. She didn’t apologize, she rushed doing my fill and color. She again had another tech’s client waiting for her to do nail art and her next “appointment “ was waiting as well. She kept telling both of them “I’ll be done soon, sorry for the wait. Thanks for your patience”. I’m not sure why they were receiving an explanation and apology when she got to me TWO hours after my appointment time. I picked a beige color. She had told me she could do a gold chrome nail on one nail on each hand after showing her a picture of what I wanted. It looked terrible. It wasn’t chrome or even close . It looked like some type of orange chemical spilled on my nail and stained it. I told her it looked nothing like the picture. She sighed as if I was being a nuisance, grabbed her electric file and started filing off the orange residue, again explaining to the waiting clients she’s sorry and almost finished. She then started putting a clear coat over the tiny bit of beige polish that was left on the nail without putting another coat of beige on it first! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I said “Ashley, you filed almost all of the color off, it needs another coat of beige before the clear coat”. She started arguing that it was ok! She was trying to make it seem like it was my fault that she had people waiting when I should’ve already been done and out of that salon over an hour before that. I left with my nails looking pretty bad. They were shaped unevenly, different lengths, sloppily painted obviously very rushed. Another thing, she told me that my nails start lifting after just a few days because they were “old”. The new acrylic that is added each fill is the part that lifts. So that part is new every time! How is it old? The time I went in to have a nail fixed that had lifted after only a few days was “repaired” with nail glue! I could’ve put glue on myself and not wasted time going to the shop. Ashley is by far the rudest nail tech I have ever dealt with. I have been getting my nails done routinely for almost 30 years and never have I dealt with someone that disrespected me the way she did. Needless to say, I won’t ever go back. 100% do not recommend this salon."

The salon is clean and all the techs were spectacular and seemed to really care about their clients. All the techs seemed to care about the quality of their work as well. "Ashley is the best nail Tech in Canton. The salon is clean, well ventilated, and just adorable. Her mother, and her Father-in-law Kevin are very sweet and always make sure that you know you're appreciated as a customer. Their isn't a design or special request that Ashley can't or won't do. Bonus is the drinks, hand, foot, and leg massages, and the best at arching eyebrows."
