"Don't like the way Home Depot sets up home improvement work. You can get any contractor that could be horrible and try to tell you more work needs to be done than what you wanted. They need a better way to do this."

"I had some carpet installed. The basement was done well, however, the three bedrooms upstairs had to be fixed four times. The installer was unprofessional. I was putting my registers in for my floor vents and noticed the carpet was not stuck to the floor in that area. I began to check other areas and realized that I could pick up the carpet with two fingers in places and see nail tact strips. I contacted home depot, who sent someone to try to fix it. Again I called home depot to say that it was not fixed. They sent out the original installer with a manager who has never laid carpet. The manager told me that if I pulled straight up on the carpet with just two fingers that I would pull the carpet up, but if I pulled at an angle it would not come up. I contacted the installation team and asked if this was accurate, another manager who has carpet laying experience told me that it was not. She came out to inspect the carpet and they put more staples in to keep it in place. I was not given any compensation for my wasted time or the fact that the it took attempting to fix the carpet three times before it was installed properly. Needless to say, it was a frustrating experience and I would not trust them with another carpet install."
