"This smaller, pedestrian only (no cars) ferry will take you to rock island state park. If you only want to day-trip visit the island, we highly recommend taking the first ferry of the morning out to allow you plenty of time to hike to the lighthouse, take the tour, hike back and make it back to Washington Island with plenty of time to spare. Memorize the ferry schedule or at least know the time of the absolute last one out. We enjoyed the lift - pleasant crew and lovely experience."
