"My parents used to have their shoes specially made, for decades, at Footwear Care for years, probably decades now. About 10 or 12 years ago, I drove them there to pick up some shoes they had ordered. They were always so pleased and satisfied with the shoes they got there that they encouraged me to try on some. I did. They ended up getting me a pair of Brooks tennis shoes and a pair of ankle high boots. I still wear both pairs of those shoes and they look better than any shoes I've bought since then, and are in much better shape by far. The sole's have not worn down one way or the other and the shoes are still as comfortable as when we purchased them. I came back in 2018 and bought my second pair of Brooks tennis shoes and they still look brand new, but because I live on the west coast, when I come to MI, I want to come back and buy another pair while I'm so close. So today, I bought a new pair of Brooks tennis shoes, I'm wearing them now and they feel wonderful. Above and beyond their great shoes, the service has always been expert. The people are so friendly and so thorough and do not make you feel rushed to decide on what you'd like to do because quite frankly yes they are expensive shoes, but people spend almost that much on name brand tennis shoes in regular stores and think nothing of it! The employees take the time that's necessary with me in order to make a sound, thoughtful decision. they are helpful, knowledgeable and respectable. I highly recommend them!"
