"I went to the Portage Carter’s store recently on a Tuesday evening around 6pm. I was the only customer in the store. I walked in and didn’t see anyone, employees or customers, but as I went to the back of the store for pajamas I walked right by 2 employees. They were involved in a conversation, neither of them looked at me or acknowledged me. When I was looking at pajamas one of them walked right by me, into the back room, and then back out. Not a smile or hello. I did purchase something because it was 60% off. When ringing it up the employee barely said a word and continued to hang and tag some merchandise. I wanted to tell this to maybe bring awareness that the customer is why you’re there. A hello or a smile is the minimum expectation."
"I love the clothes and quality. But I'll never be back to this store, or shop online either if this company feels the need to hire rude and degrading people. I'm standing in line, I have a ski mask on that has some wear on it, so it has a tendency to slide off my nose. Well it slid down past my nose and this employee shreeks at me to immideatly pull my mask back up for the whole world to hear. Not even 10 seconds later it slips down again and the nose police flips out again thoroughly embarrasing me. Had I not had a free $10 off reward I would've threw my stuff at her and walked out. Never in my life have I ever been treated that way."
"First time in a Carter's store and I was really impressed! All the racks and displays were very neat and organized. Great selection of clothes for boys and girls. Staff were super friendly and informative of the sales. EVERYTHING WAS ON SALE! Is this normal for Carter's?!? Got lots of great deals and my baby boy (8 wks old) will look very stylish for daycare in a few weeks!"
