"Everything we have eaten from this place is AMAZING! The service is quick. The staff is friendly. The exterior is unassuming. Go on in, and enjoy your meal!"
"We ate there on opening day and had a great meal. I’ve been back numerous times and, except for one time, have always had really good food. Their walleye basket is very good. Their food is a step up from regular tavern food."
"I think this is a great small town watering hole. It isn't anything fancy, but the staff is nice, The drinks are cold, and the portions are generous. Compared to several other places in the very local area, I do think it's a good value. You can get a full meal on the higher end of the menu and drink for $20 or less. If I were to critique anything, I think they could do a lot more with the local drink selection. I'm a cider girl myself, and the only cider available was a mass produced non-local angry orchard. I would love to see them get some selections from Bee Well cider and meadery in Bel Air or something similar."
"Sorry, my opinion only, our group found this bar / restaurant was just’ OK. It might get better, there is still time. Critique: Our Service was good, The Walleye and Perch with French Fries were all very oily. The cooking oil definitely needed changing. No Soups. No Chili (seasonal). Drinks were just OK. Thank you for the opportunity to politely comment on the Rapid City Tavern. JRR"
"We love the new tavern! It’s such a step (or five) above its predecessor. Had dinner there Friday night —the menu choices and the food were good. Only wish they served breakfast—something much needed in Rapid City."
