Steak 'n Shake

"Came here after 8pm. Waited in the drive thru for 10minutes. Guy in the junk GMC Yukon in front of me ordered 6shakes. By the time I got my food it was cold. They seemed to be extremely understaffed. Lobby was closed. The owners of this establishment need to do better. They are not putting their employees in a position to succeed."

"Not a fan of this location. We stopped here for dinner tonight and after we ordered, we wished we hadn’t. The floors were disgusting and multiple tables sat dirty the entire time we were there. The staff was nice but they stood around talking the entire time when the restaurant was complete chaos. The bathrooms were so nasty that we wouldn’t even let our kids go in to wash their hands. Food was okay but we got 5 cups of cheese and they were all cold. It was very evident that the staff only does what they HAVE to do. 933 location is MUCH better- drive the extra 5 miles."

"I recently had the opportunity to try Steak 'n Shake for the first time in a while, despite hearing mixed reviews from people I know. Since it was the nearest location to my house, I decided to give it a shot. To my surprise, my entire order was prepared correctly, and I didn't have to wait for a long time. It seems like I arrived at the perfect time, as eight cars pulled up right after I left. However, I must mention that the lady running the drive-thru wasn't particularly friendly. Nevertheless, she did manage to input my order accurately. Overall, my experience at Steak 'n Shake was satisfying, considering the food was prepared correctly and the wait time was minimal."

"Steak 'n Shake is a favorite of mine. They've made changes since my last visit. You place your order at a kiosk, there's no cashier. I was a little confused because I was dining in, but the cook was so friendly and helped me out. The food was delicious! I've gotta make my way back there. I ordered a shake, but I knew I didn't want to rush drinking it because I didn't have much time. When, I requested it in a to-go cup, the other guy was very friendly about it. They even brought it to my table. I'm impressed by the service I received there. Overall, the place was clean and smelled nice. They were a little behind on wiping down tables, but I was able to find a suitable seat. I placed a carryout order before leaving, and it was prepared rather quickly. I'd recommend this place."

"Didn’t have much interaction with employees other than getting my food at the counter from them. Burgers, fries, strawberry and mint chocolate shakes were good. You order at the kiosk which is convenient. For what you expect at this type of restaurant it should get a 4 out of 5 stars but, I’m giving it 2 stars because the toilets were in bad shape (in both men and womens restroom). Floor in men’s restroom was sticky especially by urinal. There were 2 customers when we arrived and at least 4-5 employees that I saw. Someone should be checking and cleaning their restrooms. Would normally had walked out without ordering but, we were in a rush and didn’t want to go anywhere else. Steak and Shake must do better."
