"12/12/2023; I visited the Novi, Michigan store today and told the clerk that I wanted to exchange a pair of jeans (poor fit) that I had purchased on 12/05/2023; I had the receipt with me and showed it to the clerk. I had worn the jeans one time. The clerk told me that American Eagle will not process a return on worn clothing. This response from the clerk set a negative and uncertain tone for evening -- the clerk proceeded to assist me with finding a replacement pair and I tried on several other pairs while wondering if she would be giving me the exchange in the end. They did allow the exchange but after leaving the store, I looked at the back of the receipt and the return policy was printed on it stating that if you are not completely happy with the purchase to simply return or exchange it with your receipt. So, I am not understanding why the clerk flatly and without hesitation told me they would not accept a returned worn pair of jeans when the policy clearly states the opposite. I am thankful that I was able to finally exchange the article but disappointed at the negative interaction with the employee."

"I have no issues about the clothes there. My issue is when a cashier is full on texting on her personal phone while ringing my stuff up. Just thought it was unprofessional."

"The employee there (I think his name was Kyle) was so beyond helpful. I always hate shopping for new clothes but he made it super easy and ending up finding a pair of jeans that fit perfectly!!"

"Had an issue with the buy one get one jean half off promo. Had to redo sale after we had to point out that they rang it up wrong. Had to haggle for awhile, because the employee was insisting they were right and they were not. In the end mistake was corrected. Love the store and it was good to see it very busy."
