"We'll run salon, and my stylist (Kelli) does a great job, knowing my hair and what needs to be done"
"I love seeing Rachel for my haircuts. She is a delightful human being and she does a great job with my hair. She's very thorough and knowledgeable and I feel amazing afterwards. And she gives a lovely scalp massage during the wash, too!"
"Good prices, nice products, and kind staff is as much positive things i can say unfortunately. My hairstylist, Brea, was really nice and she tried her best which i appreciate. And I understand my haircut and style wasn’t as common for them to do. But, I called before booking my appointment to ask if this salon has any hairstylists that are able to cut a wolfcut, and the kind receptionist relayed back that ALL the stylists have done them and is able to do one. To preference, I have gotten a wolfcut many times in the past, I love how a wolfcut looks on me and I have experimented with different lengths of hair so I know how it is all supposed to look. When I booked my appointment, I left in my notes that I wanted a wolfcut, would provide reference photos, and added that if that isnt possible or if theres any issues, to text or email me. Like said in my note, I did show my stylist pictures, 9 pictures that showed the side, 3/4, and back. I even asked her before she did anything to my hair if she knows what it is and if shes done one before, she said yes. For those who aren’t familiar with a wolfcut, essentially the more top layers all around are shorter, messy yet blended to the lower layers being kept longer than the shorter top layers. She asked if I wanted it blended or choppy, i said blended. She asked if I wanted the shorter layers all around or at the back or at the front, I said all around. I also warned that my hair is very thick, and frizzy. Her reaction throughout my cut seems as she is not experienced with thick or frizzy hair, but was able to maintain my frizz thankfully. I also noted how my bangs are usually shaped, its basically a thin fringe more in the middle of my forehead, just slightly above my eyebrows, then it fades into curtain bangs and face framing pieces, they are never a straight line unless its 2-3 inches in the middle of my face. I told her how i style them too, not leaving them flat, I use a straightener to slightly curl them and it helps them look shorter. Since my bangs were a little long, I agreed to have her cut them more. She cut them pretty uneven. Throughout my cut I gave her many points to what i wanted differently and I was trying to tell her the layers werent defined enough or short enough and she told me that if she were to cut them more, it would be choppy. I was also trying to say that my ends were too choppy. I was really trying to tell her what I wanted different, for once, I wasnt silent about not being satisfied, and I tried to talk it through. And again I was so careful about if this place was able to do wolfcuts. Eventually after giving many pointers she started to try to style it and i mentioned a lot that I use a straighter typically to style this type of haircut but it seems there was no straightener. At the end of my haircut, i wasnt asked to play with it to see if it felt good, I WASNT GIVEN A MIRROR TO CHECK THE BACK OF MY HAIR, and I gave up and left kindly and paid my fee ($35). I may have not been as upfront and told them directly that I didnt like it, but thats just who I am, I dont want to be rude or upset people or cause drama so I try to do it in a nice way and in a way that wont make me anxious. Went home and immediately spent hours trying to make it better, focusing on the back which I saw was not given any short layers and was so choppy which wasnt like my referenced pictures at all. I was and am so upset.. All in all, Im sure she’s more experienced with common haircuts and curling hair. But if you want a rather unique and alternative style, or like me, want a wolfcut, don't go here or be extremely picky and firm with who does it. I’m sorry for the low, long, and maybe rude review, I’m sure the stylists are very talented in other areas of hair styling."
