"First trip but we will definitely be back. Centrally located to downtown BC and close to the hospital. Atmosphere is relaxing and fun. Diverse clientele where anyone and everyone will feel welcome including kids. Coffee and food were tasty and fresh. It feels like Mom or Dad or abuela made it for you - if they are a super good cook! We had a Breakfast Quesadilla, Breakfast Burrito, & Egg Caprese Bagel, Orange Mocha, Iced Peppermint Coffee, plain black coffee & a Pomegranate Lemonade. All were delicious. Only thing they could add would be a few bottles of different hot sauces from around the world to the self-serve coffee area. Though their housemade sauces are great too, especially the creamy chipotle one. A few years ago Battle Creek's downtown was boring and dreary with very few good options for food and coffee. Cafe Rica is such a great addition. I live 30 minutes away in the Zoo but will stop here whenever I am close by for a coffee, a meal or just to work on my laptop. Highly, highly recommend."
