"A great little boutique shop with clothes for more than just small to large! A breath of fresh air in a stagnant fashion market which often overlooks the more well-endowed humans out there. I was so shocked (in a good way!) and pleased to walk in here over the summer and find they had clothes IN my size, IN small-town Michigan, that were IN style AND cute. It's a rarity. I promptly snatched up a few items, as I only had a few minutes to browse and shop. Next time I'm in The Soo I will definitely be back to browse and purchase some more lovely items! The shop owner is a gem, greeting me as soon as I walked in and chatting with me cheerfully throughout my purchase. We need more clothing stores like this in Sault Sainte Marie!"

"I cannot emphasize enough how beautiful the selection of apparel is. Ellen (the owner) is one of the most knowledgeable, kind and positive people I've ever met. Retail is difficult in many ways, but when the customer leaves and no one can hear, Ellen is always waxing poetic about all the wonderful things she noticed about that customer. She's uplifting and always down to help you find the perfect article of clothing to compliment. Her staff reflects her dynamic personality. I cannot state enough what a local gemstone Proper Apparel is. The cloths are chic and has options for every body type; She prides her selection off quality and it shows in spades. Their boxing/pickup service is sleek, easy and offers the option to pickup or order online as well. Opening during the 2020 pandemic, she faced an uphill battle and met that challenge head-on with a passion of uplifting the community and making a difference. This place is incredible in literally every way."
