"Fabulous atmosphere. The old town vibe is everywhere, from the unique boiler entrance to the refinished plank tables. The menu selection is heavy on deep fried food. I choose the schnitzel because that is usually lightly breaded and baked - but it was deep fried (I should have asked). Food from the griddle was not available the day I visited. Cinnamon roll was delicious, but another high fat food. The wait staff was not to be found ... although others in our party were better served. Flatware was not adequate to cut up food (need better knives). If you just want drinks and fried food - go for it, but I was disappointed in the menu. Parking easy, adjacent to restaurant."

"My family, including 10-yr-old kids, love it here! The atmosphere, waitstaff, and food are great! I like the fish and chips. The craft cocktails and awesome little donuts (so light & fluffy!) are an added bonus. I like sitting in the enclosed patio room with a view of the old train station. I can't wait to go here during the summer when the patio is open."

"Came here for dinner. I got the shrimp alfredo. The food was pretty bland and unseasoned.. I wasn’t even able to eat for another 10 minutes after receiving my food because my silverware was dirty. I got THREE different sets of dirty silverware. I don’t blame the waitress, whoever rolled those silverware needs to be more attentive. I ended up asking for plastic ware that ended up being way too cheap and flimsy to eat that heavy pasta with. The worst part is that I was so excited to try this place. Then for the price!! Absolutely not. Never coming back."

"We cannot recommend Cork and Gabel enough for your wedding! We had our ceremony & wedding reception at Cork and Gabel in April. Everything was beyond perfect! From the food, to the planning, to the drinks and atmosphere, it was exactly what we wanted for our Detroit wedding. Matt, owner and chef, worked with us to create an amazing and tasty menu for our guests, drinks were delicious, and the wait staff & bartenders went above and beyond. Our experience at Cork and Gabel was absolutely perfect, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how much they enjoyed the night!"

"My husband and I ordered the chicken marsala and the shrimp Alfredo. The meals were OUTSTANDING!! I’m from Brazil, recently moved to Michigan and this is one of my favorite meals so far! My aperol spritz was great too! We’ll be back! Christina was an amazing server! I wish they had dairy-free desserts!"
