"The front of house staffing was only one person. There was a small wait to get a table, and a pretty long way to get the check. Food was prepared very fast! It was good candy sushi. We ordered: Scotland - It was okay, if you like deep fried rolls purely for the texture then this is for you. The flavor was kind of muted. Mexican - I prefer this role more than the scotland. It is also deep fried, but has more flavor because of the wasabi sauce. Fireball - A good swirl of flavors on a otherwise traditional role. The Sriracha wasn't as strong as I would have liked, but that's just my preference. Though if it were stronger it would have overpowered the taste of the sesame seed oil. Japan - This role is probably tied with the Fireball for flavor. The Gochujang sauce was excellent, but I think it overpowered the eel sauce. It wasn't the spiciest gochujang I've tried, it would be fine with most people. It was either the Japan or the Fireball roll, but one of them had a hint of sweet that I could have done without. The chairs were absolutely terrible. Each one I sat in was broken, wobbly and shifted under weight (I'm 230lbs). The height of each is not friendly to people who are 6'+. The table looked clean. The bathrooms were fine. But the entire restaurant is rather compact, so if two people are trying to walk in the same aisle way one will have to step aside for the other."
"We've been eager to visit this place for a while. When we finally went near closing time, we felt a bit rushed but were understanding and didn't order too much. The food arrived quickly, and it was okay. The Mademoiselle roll stood out, while the Mango roll resembled more of a dessert. Unfortunately, the shrimp tempura fell short, seeming like pre-frozen tempura sticks. The servers were friendly, and the ambiance was cozy."
"Drove into Ann Arbor from out of town and happened upon this place on Google. We gave it a shot and the food was great, the server was very nice, and it was just overall a great addition to our day! I really missed the mango rolls I would get in Florida and these were actually better. What an awesome surprise!"
"The sushi rolls are delicious and perfectly rolled! The prices are fair - especially if you are getting a lunch deal. I’m happy to have a yummy Japanese restaurant in such a convenient location - and without having to navigate downtown traffic. This is a independently owned restaurant! Shop local :)"
"My husband & I dropped in for dinner after a quick Christmas shopping trip at Briarwood Mall. The place is small, but clean and we were able to get a table right away. The staff was friendly and the service was good. We started out with an order of pork gyoza, which came out quickly. They were hot and crispy, but a little underwhelming. For dinner, we were intrigued by the "sushi burritos" on the menu. We love sushi and poke bowls, but have never tried anything like that. When we asked what the difference was, our server said they are the same, but the burritos are larger. The Fireball Burrito was actually a dollar cheaper than the Fireball Sushi Roll, so I gave it a try. It was tasty, but I think I'd go with the sushi roll next time as it just didn't feel like sushi eating it like that. I think I prefer the bite-size pieces and the crunch lost its crunch when mixed in like it was. My husband tried the Dragon Burrito and he enjoyed it, but felt eating it burrito-style was definitely messier! Overall, we felt like the food was good and the prices were reasonable. This is a casual and quick place to go for some fairly priced sushi (and sushi-like) dishes."
