"This is my number one sushi place in Ann Arbor. In 2014-2018 when I lived in Ann Arbor/Ypsi, I’d find every excuse to come here! I believe it’s family owned and local to Ann Arbor. The sushi rolls are reasonably priced and always fresh tasting. I can’t not emphasize how much I love the spicy mayo and always get it on the side. Sushi rolls left to right (3rd pic): spicy tuna, fried Philly roll, sadako crunch roll (the best roll)"

"I ordered a seafood udon with rubber bands in it. At first the male waiter said it was shredded squid, I showed him this was elastic, then he called the female boss. The female boss looked at the it and took the bowl away and said she would make me a new one. The new one did not have shrimp in it, nor squid, the female boss said because it called seafood, all these things are seafood. I asked if this meant that different people make different seafood udon? She said yes! The udon noodles that came back up I'm pretty sure were the same ones I had before, with some noodles added. When I was checking out, she had a very bad attitude and didn't thank you. I took the bill to her myself and she didn't come over to serve me."

"Sadako is legendary amongst my friends and myself. Ann Arbor has a variety of different delicious sushi options, but Sadako. Stands. Alone. Not only is the quality of their ingredients immaculate and their variety of delectable concoctions unique, but Sadako is a one-of-kind restaurant in terms of care and warmth. This restaurant has truly proved to be a second home for my girlfriend and I, and there has yet to be a bad day that cannot be turned around by a delicious Fireball Roll with Crunch. Ann Arbor is immensely lucky to have Sadako as a restaurant, and I’m eternally grateful to have it as a second home. ありがとうございます Sadako!"

"Cozy, affordable, family-run sushi spot with very generous portions. The AC roll is my favorite! I first ate at Sadako almost 14 years ago, and I still haven’t met a ginger dressing I like as much I like theirs"

"Average sushi. There is definitely better in downtown Ann Arbor. Firstly, there was one employee that was very blunt and unfriendly. He was just rude and was clearly in a rush. He wasn’t our waiter but he came by quite often, it was not pleasant. Secondly, the miso soup was extremely average and almost lukewarm when we got it. Once we got the sushi, I will not it was also lukewarm. We were told we’d get the soy sauce right away and it didn’t come for 10 minutes. Wouldn’t really recommend coming here, there are much better sushi restaurants in town just a few blocks over."
