"Dr. Deleon is extremely rude and black and white to situations. I called the on call number to get an appointment scheduled for first thing the next morning being a weekend. Instead she demanded me take my daughter to the ER for a temp of 100.7F that came down before she even called back. After asking if I could just wait to see her the next morning since it would only be a few hours later and her temperature came down in that short time frame, she said nope she needs to go to the ER. So that is what I did since she made it sound like that was the only option. The hospital discharged her after tests were done. Called back later saying I need to bring her back to 48 of a septic work up because bacteria was found in her blood. There was actually nothing found in her blood, the sample was contaminated when the hospital staff took her first sample. so my month old daughter was in the hospital pumped full of very hard antibiotics and traumatic unnecessary testing not including my other 4 kids daily life was upside down for 4 days of me being admitted in the hospitals with her because dr Deleon couldn’t see the big picture of a temperature that came down within minutes of calling and couldn’t be bothered to see her a few hours after instead. So I would find a doctor who is a little more understanding and nice for that matter. She said five whole words in a mean tone on our call. No compassion whatsoever and very strict black and white mindset."

"The best pediatrician! Dr Deleon has been nothing but kind, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable. My daughter has seen her right from the start and will continue to see her for as long as we can. Don’t listen to the negative reviews here. It is Livingston Pediatrics policy to follow CDC recommended vaccination guidelines, and all of the physicians there advocate for it because they ARE passionate about children’s well-being. If you do not believe in following physicians’ advice to protect your children then that is on you, not the physician."

"My children have been going to Maria DeLeon since they were born, and I couldn't be happier with her! I am confused from some of these reviews, because she has ALWAYS been extremely caring and sweet to me and my son's. Shes Very friendly and makes us all feel comfortable. When they were little, I didn't like the idea of getting 5 vaccinations in one sitting (they push alot), so she helped me create a more spaced out schedule for them, and we decided together which vaccinations were MOST important for my children, and which ones were not needed. I have been extremely impressed with her knowledge and I always feel comfortable bringing my kids to her! I won't be taking my boys to anyone else!"

"Dr. DeLeon was very rude to me at my first visit to see her. I declined to get my child vaccinated at 2 weeks old according to the CDC schedule & she belittled me and made me feel like I was a bad parent for my decision. I have done my own research and an responsible for making medical decisions for myself as well as my child. She did not make me feel as tho my opinion, questions or decision were warranted. It’s evident that she does not care about the well-being of the child but instead pushing her own agenda. I did not feel like she was caring or compassionate which is what I expect of a doctor especially for my child. I Would not recommend Dr. DeLeon to anyone!! After talking to friends, I have learned that many others have had similar experiences with her. She is known as being rude, pushy, and very closed minded."

"I too was made to feel rather dumb for bringing my less than one year old in for being extra tired and vomiting several times. I was basically told she looks to happy to have brought her in. I've had great experiences with many different doctors here and Dr DeLeon was highly touted on the mom to mom facebook group but I dont think making a pediatrician appointment for a sick kid wasted anyone's time. Sorry you felt I wasted your Dr DeLeon. I won't do it again."
