Dr. Mohammed Masri

"At first, I was under the impression that Doctor Masri had my back because he seemed to be very curious about my medical conditions, and I thought I was in good hands. Unfortunately, on just the *second* appointment, he was laughing when I was voicing my symptoms to him saying "You're getting that from the book". To which I responded "Don't make fun of me". He denied making fun of me. It only got worse from there within a matter of minutes, seconds. He started to belittle me and completely condescend me. I was begging for an MRI because I was, and still am, concerned I had Cushing's, or at least some sort of metabolic disorder that turned fibrotic. After becoming so genuinely upset that I cried and begged him for an MRI, he finally somewhat met me halfway and said he would do tests. The tests come back with abormal elevated prolactin of course, and so we do the imaging. He told me everything was fine, and that I should go see my PCP at Physicians Healthcare Network who put a hand to my face as well. He also suggested to go see my endocrinolgist. Which I have and she thinks I may have a small tumor somewhere. She also did an examination of my thyroid and cleared me for an ultrasound of my thyroid in which the results should be coming back any day now. I do not trust this doctor (Masri), but the techs seemed very kind and understanding. I have seen many doctors and nurses throughout my life due to my rare conditions and disorders, and never have I ever met someone as pompous and stubborn as he is. I tried to brush it off at first when it happened, because I figured he was having a bad day. But from taking some space from the situation I could see it was more than that, which was really disheartening and embarrassing to understand. I couldn't believe an Oncologist out of all people would beat me like this."
