"I stopped in to inquire about the full treatment for my two pitbulls (simply looking to support a local small business) and I was informed they're not accepting any new dogs. That's ok and I'm happy for them that they are busy, however I'm in that parking lot 4 days per week and they never seem busy and there were no dogs there when I arrived. Seemed odd that a grooming place, not a vet, wasn't accepting new dogs. There was no pricing pamphlet or any information available at the time either. Was simply looking to support a local business. Just my experience."

"I’d like to preface that we really loved coming to Sugar mutts and even referred friends to the business. Our dog liked it too, he’s a rescue golden-doodle ~48 lbs. At Sugar mutts he was never put in a crate and always in a sectioned off area where he was able to move and smell the other dogs. That is one of the things that really drew us to being patrons given his history of being locked in a crate by his previous owners. However, today was a very different experience than what we have had before. When we walked in we first noticed that he did not have a leash hanger tag like typical. Our opening conversation with the groomer who was scheduled for him today started off very combative. She stated that, “They snuck him in here on me, I don't work with big dogs.” Which is fair, we understand that larger dogs aren't always for everyone. That should have been something taken care of by whoever did scheduling, given he had been here numerous times over the past 12 months. One would think he/we had a file but apparently that wasn't the case even after showing the groomer confirmation text messages from previous appointments. We even offered to reschedule for a time when a groomer who worked with big dogs was available, this offer was declined or went off unnoticed by the groomer. She then opened the door from behind the counter and quickly approached him. Before the door even had time to close, he barked once. She said “I’m not working with him. He cannot come here, my hands are my livelihood, he’s not my typical dog”. For us that's fine, he’s a rescue and was approached quickly by an unfamiliar person in a situation with lots of stimulation. We were then asked to leave without the ability to even reschedule for a groomer who was more apt to handle a big dog. For us, it seemed like from the start of our experience today that the groomer scheduled to work with him knew he was a bigger dog and that she did not want to work with him because it wasn't her preference. We are very disappointed in the way things went today because all of our previous times have been so pleasant."

"Because our dog, Cygnus, is a senior rescue dog, we were hesitant to take her to a groomer. However, her fur was out of control so based on her foster mom's recommendation, we drove two hours to have her groomed by Erin. We would give Sugar Mutts more than five stars if we could! Erin took her time with our old gal and gave her plenty of rest breaks because our dog was anxious and extended standing is hard for her. Erin did a fantastic job and Cygnus looks much more comfortable and smells great. We will be making the two hour drive regularly from now on because we wouldn't trust anyone else with our dog!"
