Not knowing the person's medical records told the caller someone doesn't have depression instead saying they are lazy because they want to sleep all of the time, but will get out to do something they may like. Does she even think that this may be that the person is trying to help their depression by getting out of bed. Does she realize that this person struggles with depression? To your response. I was next to him and he didn't say he was going out at night."

"I have been to see her on two separate occasions. The first was for my social security case. I was actually looking forward to seeing her because being in pain and not able to work depressed me so bad and I was hoping she could help with that. She didn't, in fact when I told her I was depressed she said "that'll happen" and moved on. The next time I saw her was for pain counseling. My DO requires anyone whose on pain meds to see a counselor. I didn't realize it was the same person I saw for my SS case. But whatever I'll give it another go. I handed her the form my doctor wants filled out. She looks at it for a second and then she asked "what am I supposed to do with this?" It was the way she said it that caused red flags to go up. We proceeded with the appointment and at the end I concluded that she's out of touch. She didn't seem to be understanding, more cold and clinical. But I have found that finding a good counselor isn't easy. What works for me may not work for the next person."
