"My puppy's first grooming experience here was fine. He needed to have the lion cut he was given by the breeder blended into his coat. (At this time he was 10 weeks old.) I was quite pleased with the cut and I was given suggestions on how to get him used to the grooming experience. At our second appointment I was questioned as to whether or not I had "researched" my breed of dog and complaints that he did not like his front legs touched. His paw was cut during this appointment but he seemed to handle it well. I just had his third and last appointment this past weekend. My puppy is now 5 months old and does not handle being away from me easily. This time I was told there was only so much they could do as he was squirmy, well that doesn't surprise me as he is only 5 months old. I was again questioned about his breed and asked if I had a trainer. It shouldn't matter whether or not I have a trainer (which I do), shouldn't they be working to make sure that he is comfortable with the grooming experience? My questions were brushed off and I was told they couldn't do much because he wouldn't hold still. I also wasn't given an option to make his next appointment as those were already done for me. I don't understand why I wasn't given a choice and when I told them I couldn't make the first appointment they made they didn't even give me another option just ignored my questions and went to the next customer. I don't know of any 5 month old puppy who can hold perfectly still for a grooming appointment. I will not be returning to this location and I would highly caution anyone else looking to go there. If you plan on going to this groomer be sure your puppy is perfectly behaved and will not have any adverse reaction to the grooming process. Never once was biting discussed and there is certainly a difference with a dog being aggressive and a puppy confused and afraid of what is going on. Also be ready to defend your choice of breed and how you are raising your puppy. I had such high hopes for this groomer and each time I went it became obvious my patronage was not needed."

"I have a mini Australian Shepard and I took her to get the full groom at the groomery. Kate Lippert worked miracles and made my dogs fur feel so much better and was very helpful with tips and suggestions. My dogs fur was damaged from a winter in florida with swimming in a private chlorine pool every day with the sun shining on her fur. It become dry and mated, I am not sure how Kate did it but her fur went from feeling fringed to so incredibly soft and healthy. I highly recommend going to The Groomery and seeing Kate. She is super friendly and good at what she does! This past summer we decided to give Iris a shorter hair cut so her hair dries faster and it turned out amazing. It is so much easier to dry her fur reducing the chance of hot spots."
