"I would absolutely NEVER recommend anyone to come here. The neuropsychological testing is outdated and I was tested for ADHD and treated as if I am a 10 year old hyperactive boy. They have zero education on ADHD in women. As someone who has already been diagnosed, and had to get retested here… these doctors were far from sympathetic and understanding. Please go somewhere else"
"This place is a joke. Terrible experience. We brought our son here to be evaluated for autism a couple of months ago. We were specifically there for autism testing and they didn't even score him on the ADOS-2 test (gold standard test for autism) due to the use of masks. There was no mention before hand that they couldn't accurately test him due to the use of mask, it was written in small print at the bottom of his results sheet but hey had no problem taking our money for a test they couldn't accurately do. Why are they even offering this sevice? What a waste of everyones time. Most of the testing was done by a technician, not an actual doctor and was completely rushed. When we went for the results the doctor(Dr. Russell) told us our son was not on the autism spectrum, how can they diagnose him as not on the spectrum if they didn't give him a score on the ADOS-2 test? The doctor also basically told us we were crazy and we just want him to be on the spectrum. She was completely rude about it. Nevermind the fact that two of my sons therapist that have actually spent time with him, suggested he be tested for autism. We left feeling completely defeated. We have recently had our son tested on the other side of the state at Bright Pines behavioral health (amazing place, totally recommend). There he was tested by an actual doctor, no one else, just him and the doctor, no mask and she spent about 5 hours with him, Pine Rest didn't even spend 2 hours with him. Our son is in fact definitely on the autism spectrum. This place should not be allowed to do autism/adhd testing, they are not qualified. They took our money for a service they couldn't and didn't actually provide."
"Completely incompetent testing place. I made my appointment about a year prior. A couple months before my the location was changed from Pine Rest on 28th and Division to this location. I was told it was on a bus line. It was not I had to drive myself. I was not told not to take my medication beforehand. I was not told until a month before that I had to pay $100 out of pocket. I was not told that I would only be tested for ADHD I thought I would be tested for all neurodivergent things. I was under the impression and that I would be tested by experts in ADHD however, the people who tested me did not even know the basics of how ADHD works. I was told that because I got good grades growing up I could not have adhd. The people who tested me were unaware that there is a concept called twice exceptional that has been studied so much that mental health professionals have given it that name. The document that they filled out afterward said that I had no signs of ADHD growing up when I was never asked whether or not I had signs growing up. I outright had a diagnosis of ADD starting when I was in elementary school up until I was 18 years old. At 18 it was replaced with an Autism diagnosis because before the DSM 5 it was thought that you could not have both autism and ADD / ADHD. I struggled a lot in both grade school and when I went to college to manage myself. Although I recieved decent grades i had to sacrifice any amount of mental stability. I also failed classes in high school because I couldn't keep up with homework despite being intelligent. The document said that all my symptoms werePTSD when I had only had a PTSD diagnosis and symptoms for a few years when I had ADHD symptoms my entire life. Also they seem unaware that it is common for people with untreated ADHD to have trauma. They inaccurately portrayed my family history and said my uncle had a history of suicidal behavior and that is not the case. I never said that. I have no idea where that came from. They gave me advice to simply buy a planner. Just be more organized with my time. Had they asked me, I would have said that I have had dozens of planners in my life and they do not work for me. If I were to honestly take all of the advice they had given me, I probably would have ended up intense suicidal urges which has happened to me before. I have no idea why they thought I would benefit from that horrible advice. I think they are a danger to the people they serve. I was made to fill out some paperwork in a loud crowded waiting room with incredibly bright lights that were bothersome. In lieu of doing that, I went to the bathroom and filled out most of the paperwork there. Being tested was so stressful that I threw up in the parking lot. I had to spend a significant amount of time trying to gather myself in the parking lot. Being tested there was traumatic. I believed that pushing myself so far would be worth it because I would get a diagnosis. They were going to give me the ability to get the help that I needed. I realized in horror that I was portrayed significantly inaccurately by incompetence mental health "professionals". Had I not send them many messages in my chart while crying between phone calls to crisis hotlines, I would never have gotten the diagnosis they should have given me outright. They eventually gave me a correct diagnosis and them followed it up with an extremely rude message. I would have gone to recipient rights because they blew up at me and my chart and said some incredibly hurtful things but I know from experience that recipient rights is a joke. These people do not understand adhd. They should not be in charge of whether or not people get treatment. Their organization is not friendly towards people with ADHD. They should be ashamed of themselves. I had nightmares for a while because of how they treated me."
"A family member used this facility for their child that is in highschool. I was on the phone with the parent right after they signed their child into the facility. It was the hardest thing they ever did. Broke my heart to hear the pain in their voice. The outcome has been beyond belief! I think this highschooler has a better concept of life and knows how to handle issues more then almost every adult. I am so proud of them!❤ This facility has given the tools and follow up that is needed. Yes its expensive but as crude as it sounds so is a funeral and this is a better investment!"
