"As someone who has been in and out of therapy since the age of 15, I was very grateful and relieved that one of my friends recommended Headwaters counseling to me. The environment is different from the stereotypical counseling setting that I have been used to. Not only have I tried other offices around the area, but I also was receiving therapy at Michigan State University. Although other offices did help me, Headwaters counseling is the first office to have made a significant impact on myself and my mental well being. And, for the first time in my life, I was able to find hope and was motivated to be the best version of myself that I could be. If you are looking for a kind, compassionate, caring, and educated therapist, I highly recommend Jacob. Throughout our sessions, Jacob has never failed to demonstrate his compassion, education, and skills. What I have found by working in the healthcare industry is that you can tell when someone loves and cares about their job vs. those who do not. Jacob is one of those people where you can tell that he genuinely cares and loves what he does, which makes a huge difference. He has gone above and beyond to help me get to where I want to be and I am beyond grateful. As always, I will continue to recommend Headwaters counseling around my community.
