"I had a new patient appointment with Dr. Debono, and after we had a long conversation about HRT Dr. Debono prescribed a medication and her assistant gave me a brown paper bag of samples. When I got home & looked there was a brochure, a coupon for a discount for the $140 Rx and the samples. Since I've been a nurse for many years I looked at the chemical/generic name on the samples and what she prescribed is a powerful anti-depressant, re-marketed and renamed. First of all if a doctor prescribes a powerful SSRI she should tell you especially one that has a double black box warning because of its severe side effects. Second, this medication in generic form is on the Walmart $4 list, but if you buy it by the re-marketed and renamed brand they try and charge $140!! I was disappointed with the un-ethical behavior of this doctor who is obviously in the pocket of big pharma and do not recommend her because she was not honest in what she was prescribing. Being a nurse did she honestly think I wouldn't check what she was giving me? Beware of what your doctor is prescribing is the lesson here!"
